This number was left on my Caller ID - no message. I HAD called Amazon the day before, and had my questions answered fully, but this COULD be a legitimate Amazon follow-up. If they want me, they'll call again. If it sounds creepy, I'll use Call Block.

Caller claimed to be from Amazon logistics and then asked for my name. I said, "You tell me..you called me...if you're really from Amazon then you already know my name". She just kept saying that "for security reasons she was not allowed to tell me my name". I told her I would ask one more time and if she wouldn't say my name I was hanging up. I did. If this really is Amazon then shame on them for this asinine approach in this day & age of scams and identity theft.

It IS Amazon responding to email complaint  at my request. The multiple calls are because it's computer dialed and then customer service rep gets on the phone

Just got a call from this number after I asked Amazon website help for a kindlebook that has not downloaded for the last 3 days. Website asked for a call back if call dropped. I called back, could hardly understand the male voice, a lot of chat in the background also he  me for my address and E-mail.

con job for your info. everything about this call seems off somehow.was live chatting with amazon and asked them to verify # and they could not. amazon does not call without prior request or email notification. i asked caller to email me because amazon has this info .they did not.anyone receiving un requested /unnotified calls should change the password and run malware

This is the callback number used by Amazon Customer Service.  They are probably in the Philippines.  The number is legit.  If you get a call from this number that is not legit, probably someone is spoofing the number.

Received 7 calls. They left messages but I have never had a problem ordering anything from Amazon. I smell a scam

Someone called me claiming to be from amazon told me that a gift package was trying to be delivered. It was really strange.  I gave him to much info.  He asked me if someone had used my amazon account and that freaked me out because he said someone was sending me a gift and he could not tell me what it was because it was a gift.  I called amazon back and gave this this number and they said that it did not belong to them.  The caller I.d said Amazon.

CRIMINALS. Yes, the same criminal gang spoofing Amazon's name and phone number. They don't leave any message on voice-mail. This criminal organization is fully supported by our greedy politicians, who share in the profits of crime. Nothing will ever be done in California to stop these criminal gangs from calling us. These criminals exist due to the support of our corrupt politicians and money hungry phone companies, both of which receive significant profits from the abuse by these criminal enterprises. It would be ever so simple for the phone company to identify all unused phone numbers by marking them as "invalid number" as part of the "caller i.d." program and/or the phone companies setting up their own reporting email systems (just like this one). But, the phone companies elect not to identify invalid numbers since they earn substantial income from these criminals calling us every day. We get to pay for these callers too, as we are usually billed for calls from these unwanted spam callers Such is our life in California. Criminals, politicians and the phone companies all share in the common interest of easy money.

They just called me today and wanted me to give them my name and email. I didn't because I don't give that out to people I don't know. They said they were from amazon and was returning my call. I never called them. I chatted with amazon just now and my records indicate that no one has called me from their offices, so it was a scam. I say unless you know that you went on amazon and asked them to return a call to you then I wouldn't answer or give out information.

just got a call from this number and they said they were from the IRS the guy on the phone had a thick nigerian accent  . the IRS does'nt call anyone so don't be fooled

Amazon appears to have NO customer service team. I have spent 7 days chatting with everyone in India where your chat goes 1st, then before I start with the BBB, I asked to be called. The automated system called my # back instantly & a Michael chatted with me & he sounded legit. But legit he was NOT! He put me on hold after hearing my horror story & said he would be right back. That right back was over 25 minutes. Guess since he know credit card info was NOT going to be given to him, that there was no use to chat again. Something is going on. Plus wanted to state that amazon is a nightmare to deal with. They do their best to prevent us finding out anyway to contact them, then if you do get someone, they don't understand English. So now going to the BBB & see what that turns up.

Just called me.  didn't answer. no msg.  I doubt this was really Amazon but it might have been because I did recently disconnect on a call I made to them after being on hold for too long. There are scams out there where they try to get you to say "yes" (like by asking if you are you).  they record that and then use the recording to order things from other places.

I received a call from this number like I was calling them. I'm wondering if someone is dialing Amazon's number and then dialing my number into a 3-way call and hoping they get some random information to get access to our Amazon account? If that is the case, that is creepy.
