Got a call today from this number and I answered it . As soon as I answered it a female voice said my name and I said "yes"at which time she hung up...I tried to return the favor but the number  was "not in use at this time"..Really? Why cant the phone company accept responsibility and set things in place that prevent this fraud....................

UNKNOWN CALLER     I do not pick up.  Calling frequently, why.  I'm reporting to do not call registry.  

Received a call today.  Did not answer & no message left.  Caller ID: Providian Financial.  Am on the DNC list.  What a joke!

A scammer I tried to connect and speak to them, they said that they can lower your credit card rates. When I asked who is this? They hung up. Tried to call back the same number and the number is a non working number.

Got a call from this number... twice now. The first time, when I answered the call... there was a few second delay while the "automated dialer" apparently found an available person to send me to. There was lots of background noise. The caller gave me some BS american name, however, he was cleary indonesian. He stated he was a Microsoft Engineer and my computer is sending errors to the Global Server. He didn't tell me what company he was with.. I had to ask as he tried to make it sound like he was with Microsoft. He gave some company name which I don't recall.

I asked him what Global Server, which computer, how did he know my name, how did he identify my computer, from what IP address, and what was the computers "name.  I work in technology.. so this scam [***] called the wrong person.

He hung up of course. Then, a week later I get another call which I did not answer.

Yep.. there ought to be a law against this crap.. Why can't the telco's trace down this crap and put people in jail????

This is a SCAM.
Very frustrating when receiving the call on your cell phone and your are charged by the minute for a call from the U.S. that you didn't solicit.

Got my first call from this number today. I figured I would find something  strange about it. Sure enough.... ;)

This Indian guy just called me and stated that he has my name, address, and information on my windows computer. He said I was getting errors on Windows. I asked which computer? He said your windows computer. I played along, and asked how much is this going to cost me, He said free then offered to fix the errors for a 1 yr, 2yr or 3yr contract.

I played along some more. He asked me to Start/run/ then eventvwr to look for errors. I told him I only see warnings. He said keep scrolling down. here's the best part, There was no computer or log or error. I simply answered the questions as I am former Tech Support from a very large technology company and knew what he was looking for.

Then I told him there were no errors and asked what he was looking for again. He told me system errors. I then laid it on him that the IFSManager broke and could not access interrupt 13 to CDFS. At that point he said, you know something and must be in IT. I told him yes, you are busted. Go CON someone else! I am reporting you and your phone number.

Same type call as the rest. I asked what company he was calling from and he said Windows. I asked if he was from Microsoft and he said no. He directed me to look at the event viewer and check for errors. I told him there were lots of errors listed. To fix this this issue he instructed me to press the windows button and r, which opens a run dialog box, and enter www.teamviewer.com. He wanted me to download/install so he could control my machine. I told him I was hanging up on him & I disconnected the call. He called me right back and started with the instructions. I told him he was spam and that I was hanging up. He thanked me for telling him, that he was spam... and then he hung up.

I've been getting calls by this place for months. One time I didn't even answer, well the guy called back in the middle of the night two nights in a row! One time got another call and I picked it up (unfortunately, I usually don't answer "unknown name" calls but my son's school apparently has something to hide and also shows as "unknown name" so I have to pick up, just in case...) Guy said he was from Microsoft, again with a thick indian-like accent (not familiar with types of accent, sorry) saying he could see on their websites my computer was infected. I asked how he could possibly know that since we don't even go on those websites and he hung up! It's been a while, but just got another phone call, from someone involved with Windows apparently. I lost my temper with the guy and hey guess what, he was yelling at me! Asked him how he had my number since it's in no way linked to my computer. Kept trying to tell me I downloaded a dangerous file that could lead to my computer being hacked and I told him I don't even download anything, how could he possibly know what's even on my computer unless he's hacking into it!? I told him I don't have viruses, I scan regularly with different safety programs and he was insisting. I told him we've been bothered by those calls for months, twice in the middle of the night and we're sick of that bull****. It's rude and disrespectful and asked to stop calling. Then I hung up. Think because I'm a woman I don't know I'm getting scammed!? Morons.

They call me once a month (I'm lucky) I never answer. Do not call me list does not work
