Dear Really Super Duper Informed,

I wouldn't mind if it were just 5 questions. Really, I wouldn't! I work in customer service and I know that you call center guys are just doing your jobs. But, is it really necessary to call me half a dozen times in one day? I tried to take your survey and I did keep answering the calls whenever your rep would hang up on me after getting a few questions in, but enough is enough. My days off are one thing, but calling me repeatedly while I'm at work is a horse of another color. You have a lot more than just 5 questions to ask and a lot of them are of an extremely personal nature. I understand and appreciate the ability to end the discussion whenever I choose, but, if we get disconnected, learn to say "oh well" and move on to the next consumer. Otherwise, I may not be so nice next time I get the chance to answer.

They call about every other day on my work phone.

These telemarketers are out of hand in calling at 859p.......

Thank God for caller ID.  I don't answer any number that isn't familiar to me and if no message is left, I assume they're a spammer, in which case the number is added to a special directory in my phone where if they call again, there is no ring and a little "spam" icon appears on my display along with the number.  Guess where this number just went.

I also don't answer calls from numbers I don't recognize.  It is bad enough this is coming through on my home phone, but now they are also robo-calling cell phones.  I have both numbers on Do Not Call, but it sure doesn't do any good.

Got a call from this number two days in a row, once around 7:15pm and the next night at 6:45. Ignored it both times.

They call daily and I never answer. When I try to call back,their phone is busy. I notice they don't leave messages. Looks really suspect and its annoying when I'm working and they keep calling

I have received calls from 212-548-5501 almost every other day.  Twice I have politely asked them not to call.  They say they are taking a survey on Insurance for NJ.  I told them I don't live in NJ.  They got an answer for everything.  I am told I cannot get removed until I answer a few question.  It's definitely a robo call that hits my cell.  They are not a survey company, they are just sliding under the door and working he system.

Reported them to DNC. We'll see.

They have called 3 days in a row. The first time, a few days ago, they said that they were doing a survey. I politely said no and they hung up. The last three days in a row I've had calls from the same number with no response when I answer and no message on my machine when I don't answer. How am I supposed to ask them not to call when they won't talk to me?

Many calls to my cell number. Went into voicemail once but no message.  You'd think some regulatory agency in New York could track this down and put a stop to it.
I am a recently retired Fed and don't want to take this on right now-this crap reminds me took much of work.

I have received calls from 212-448-5501 two days in a row  between 8 and 9PM.  I didn't answer and no message was left.   When I called back it said my called could be completed as dialed.  Now I see in here that a lot of people are getting these calls and it has been happening since 2007.   When are the authorities going to shut this number down?

Yes, the recent phone survey person has been trying to do a study on Adolescent Teens (of which I have two).  Too bad the link to the final prognosis isn't sent to all the people who contributed....so that we could see where our information ended up (and possibly spread the word on the study that was done).

Ive received 7 calls in the last 2 weeks....I don't even know what to do at this point because they never leave a message

I'm guessing this is probably a spoofed number and we are getting called from different people...also why they havn't shut it down.  Some are probably pranks(heavy breathing), others are probably hackers(surveys)
