- GabThey have been calling everyday and leave no messages so today I pick up and there's a girl on the other line asking for my husband I asked who she was she said something deployment(my husbands in the navy) when I handed him the phone she was trying toget him to do a survey. It seemed suspicous.
- Not a professional organization replies to IvyIvy,
During the first time I spoke with someone from SRBI, I was polite and asked not to be called again. The operator was extremely rude. "Poof, we are gone"? I would love it if that were true. They have since called twice more and each time the operator was rude and completely unprofessional. This is not a service you are providing. This is a predatory business. - ABUThey called me and said they were doing a study from "Columbia University" about how New Yorkers are doing in the recession. They said they would give $15 to participate. I told them they called me about this last week and I declined and that I want to be taken off the list. After the first call, I looked into the number and it seems like a scam. She asked why and I told her that I don't give out personal information. She offered to give information that shows they're valid. I said, I'd rather just opt out. That was the end of it for now but I suspect they will keep calling and try to get even more personal information from me so that they can possibly steal identity.

- anonI have received about 5 phone calls from this number over the past two days. I did not answer until today, he claims to be doing a energy survey but I told him I was not interested and he got off the phone stating he will try back some other time.

- mamabearThey've been calling me everyday since the 13th either at 11:30 am or 7:30pm. I haven't answered any of the calls but after seeing some of the responses here, I think I'll just tell them I'm not interested in whatever bs survey they're conducting. Fyi, I'm on the National Do Not Call list as well.
- Former MilitaryThe number is SRBI and they are a very legitimate research company. I have done a few surveys with them, they never request personal information and they do send you a check for whatever they are offering for the survey. Most times it is 15-20 dollars, but I got 50 for a Military Seperation survey that was actually a year long survey. They called three times, once to start, another after 6 months, and another after a year, where they asked the same few questions that took about 5-10 minutes, and I got a check for 50 dollars at each interval. They do a lot of surveys, and I have participated in a few others when I am available. Im not sure where they get peoples numbers, but I assumed mine was from the military after I left, and since I've been a willing participant they continue to call. Never experienced any late calls, but during my initial survey, I asked for the calls between certain times and they adhere to that. If you don't want to take the survey, just don't take the survey. Not a big deal. Blasting the company isn't right though, they are just doing there job. Gotta talk to people to do surveys.

- Serves you right replies to Barracuda NYCNYPD... such a mistake harrassing two detectives from the NYPD... oooohhh. Your ridiculous authoritative rhetoric is even plainly visible in your posts to Whocallsme... The only consistent trait that I've ever noticed in the majority of cops, is that they are [***], and your post only goes to show that. Like your better than the average citizen who is being harassed? Boastful loser.
- glidaReceived a call from the State health department or somesuch asking me if this was my cell phone and what percentage I used my cell phone. I said 80% and he said that I did not qualify for the study as they're looking for people who use their cell 90% of the time. he was very polite. This is the second call I received from this number. The first I told him I wasn't interested and hung up.

- cantstandscamnersJust for a call from APT SRBI (212-448-5501) for the first time on my cell while at work. The female interviewer said she was calling from the company's W. Virginia office even though the ID had this annoying NYC number. U wanted to speak to her supervisor because she told me that the computer gives out randomized phone numbers. I informed her that I too have my cell listed with the DNC Gov. list. I suggest everyone call their telephone carrier to complain & also call or go online to the Do Not Call Gov website. This number comes from a computerized caller. If you dial this number it is constantly busy. Hope everyone complains like me!

- North CarolinaThis company called my cellphone every day for a week. I was at work so didn't answer. They did not leave a message. Today I was home and a lady by the name of Ashley let me know that this is a survey company so they do not have to abide by the no call list, however, she could do something to make it so they wouldn't call me again. I did not take the survey and hope Ashley follows through so I don't get any more phone calls.

- MichelleCalled tonight @ 8:30pm CDST (Central Daylight Savings Time). Said from "Pure Trust Research Group" Or was that Pew Trust Research Group? Wanted me to do a survey & answer a few Qs. I was curious, so I said yes. They asked if I was over or under 18, what did I think of the community I lived in, did we own our home, what was our religion, and were we Jewish in any way, shape or form. (That is, they asked if I was Jewish, part Jewish, of Jewish heritage, raised Jewish, or if any of the adults in my current household (or the one I was raised in), Jewish. Not sure why they wanted to know so much about whether or not I was Jewish. Would be suspicious of profiling or registering except that it was my cell phone & I'm unlisted, so somebody's sold my number & I need to go tell those nonprofits/charities to quit sharing my information!

- Tired of your intrusions replies to Super Really InformedMaybe you should get a real job and not rely on one that bothers people to obtain information. People do not want to be bothered with the phone calls and offering any input. When you want to get info, do what most companies do, have it set up online, get volunteers, pay them a stipend and they will help give you all of the information you want. The rest of us do not want to be bothered! Getting information from Jane Q Public or John Q Public to report on the number of medical conditions a person has is the LEAST reliable way to get information which is exactly why most media is nothing but BS and erroneous info. Science gets its statistics via controlled double blind studies - anything else is useless.
- BillThis number calls about once a day. They never leave a message. I finally answered and they said they were from the Massachusetts Board of Health. Yeah right. Why would they have a 212 phone number?
- Caller: Mass Board of Health
