I have gotten 15 calls from this number in the last hour. Just beeping. no person.

after an hour, I started getting called from a blocked number that did the same thing. I have 5 of those so far.

Well, you have to stay on the line because it is either a collection agency or third party business for another business, say a cellular carrier or perhaps a cable TV business.  It is automated and continues to call many people at the same time. When it detects 'you' on the line, it eventually rolls back to you with a brief recording followed by a live person.  Whichever fits: either pay your bills or stop calling businesses and bitching.

Not sure of this number and who it is coming from.

I've also been getting non-stop fax calls to my cell phone from 213-232-3239.

Following the advice from another post I called Call Pac-West Telecomm, Inc. (800) 511-9048 and they confirmed it's one of their numbers. They are going to block all faxes and calls from 213-232-3239 to my cell.  

What a relief. Give them a call if you're having the same problem.

I initially blocked 213-232-3239 from my cell through the Verizon web site. But you have to renew the block every 90 days. I wanted a permanent solution.

This is a internet fax service that sends faxes for clients.  If you get a call from them your phone number has been give as a fax number.

I'm in Central California ande they have called me from a privite and  the 213 number.  They have called 10 times in the last 15 min.

they keep calling my office in fax mode.

Called 7 times between 4 and 4:30 Sunday afternoon. No message left; just beeps and static.

last few days have been getting the no answer or beeps from a private number..turned on *70 (wich blocks private numbers) only to have them start calling with their number 213 232 3224. added them to the blocked call list (*60) hopefully this helps.

they have called me about five time repeatedly today who are they and why are they calling us?

I also keep receiving calls from 213-232-3224 and an "External Call - Unknown Number" @ approx. 10am... Received about 5 calls so far...within 5 minutes :|

I think it is Lending Tree- I filled out a form at 11pmand I received my first call from this number at11pm

Actually this number belongs to a company called J2 Global. You can reach them at 323-860-9299 to complain.

This number called me NON STOP despite me being listed as a DO NOT CALL on the Federeal registry. I googled and found it to be conncted to 1-800--511-9048. I called that and got a live person that explained this is indeed "one of their customers telemarketing tool". This 213 number calls me NON STOP, blocks me from using my own cell PLUS when I reject the calls, it goes into VOICE MAIL and fills that up as well. I pay air time, plus air time to clean up my voice mail so that this ridiculous BS fills it up again. Someone gotta FINE this company big time

I Googled it and found HUNDREDS, if not THOUSANDS OF COMPLAINTS connected to it.  Found it to be a landline, connected to PAC-WEST TELECOMM, a telemarketing company based in Los Angeles.   Found PAC-WEST had a toll free number - 1-800-511-9048.  

I called them and got a live person that explained this is indeed "one of their customers telemarketing tool".

This 213 number was calling me NON STOP, and blocked me from using my own cell PLUS when I rejected the calls, it went into VOICE MAIL and filled that up as well.

I pay air time, plus air time to clean up my voice mail so that this ridiculous BS filled it up again.

PS – Once I called PAC-WEST who was careful enough not to assume responsibility for these non-sense calls, the representative told me he “would pass the info along to their customer so they could remove me from their list”.  I asked how long that would take place and the gentleman informed me he did not know.  Interesting fact is…  while I was talking to him, the number kept on calling me – total 3 times during my conversation with him.  Once we hung up (I gave him my number so he could “pass it along to his customer”, the calls immediately STOPPED.  Something tells me PAC-WEST IS DIRECTLY INVOLVED WITH THIS CRAP.   Someone gotta FINE this company big time.  In the meantime, I installed a FREE PROGRAM that dials up and sends a fax.  I programmed it to automatically dial *67-1-800-511-9048 (*67 hides my number).  My auto dialer is now dialing this 800 number non-stop.  Now let’s see how much their TOLL FREE NUMBER phone bill will be inflated with my payback.  The idiots are now sure getting a taste of their own poison.

PS – I encourage you to do the same.  If we overwhelm their lines, they won’t be able to do business and we’ll effectively shut them down.
