????  I have no idea who is calling from this number... 4 calls in about 16 hours... I phoned them back on the 3rd call and an automated voice said "This number(?) is not available, thank you for calling."  My cell number was ported from a land line just last Thursday and the number is registered in the Do Not Call registry.

After reviewing some of the messages here, I phoned eFAX corporate accounts & spoke with someone there who said that the issue would be escalated to the president's office and that it would be taken care of.  The owner of the number is eFAX and the user is Phillip Morris, USA, as determined by an earlier poster here.

Same experience as most people in this discussion group. Bell Canada says it is not their problem and want to charge me to use the *57 feature to block the number. Went to the 'phonebusters.com' web site and filed a complaint by phone. Surprisingly, there were only 4 other complaints concerning this number, ie, 213-232-3224. If more complaints are made, maybe someone will take ownership of this problem and resolve it. I took the time to write this comment at 1:30 am since I have just had my sleep interrupted by 213-232-3224...ARRRRGH!

This number called my business fax today at 10am EST.  it is a fake fax from the United Nations, information and public relations unit.  its an unpaid beneficiary payout from West African countries, if you send them your financial and contact information.

We discontinued an efax service, and 15 minutes later we got a call from that number.

So, are efax passing on ex-client contact numbers to Nigerian scammers? If so, then surely thats a matter for the FBI or Interpol, no?

Called my cell 8 times. Here's what I do when I get these kind of calls. I put them in my phone as no 1, no 2, no 3 etc. Each time I can add 2 number to a contact so if any of my no #s show up on my screen I don't answer.

Started calling my cell phone, I don't bother to answer if I don't know who it is- but it is annoyingly frequent.

call pac telephone co 877-626-4325 and complain they will contact there customer and have your number removed.  They can't tell you the company name but they will grt your number off the list

They called me 21 times between 1 AM and after 2:00 AM last night, 8/22/10, no answer beep once sounds like a fax system wonder what would happen if I sent them a do not disturb fax back over and over and over and over.

Well, they now even call us in Germany, once you pick up they hang up... very weird.

I got a call from this number all I heard was heavy breathing then they hung up. When I tried to call back to see who it as it said it was not an exsiting number.

I receive at least 3 calls a day from this fax number.  Beyond annoying and frustrating.

On my cell phone caller id. Called me at 4:50 am.

someone called me from this number and asked if I signed on for an efax account. That they were trying to confirm. I said I did and they hung up. Now number not in use.

Got a call at 4:45 AM; no beeping, no voice, nothing.  Same number called me back AGAIN at 5:20 AM.
Woke me TWICE when I had to get up for work at 6:30AM!  Called number and recording said "this number is not in use thank you for calling goodbye"  I HATE these calls!  Am already on the No Call List - - what good does that do anyway...seriously angry...

This number calls my office everyday with fax beeps.  It's so f'ing frustrating.  STOP FAXING US!!!

Just rec'd 2 calls missed both...called right back and the message said this was not a working number.

This number has been calling my house repeatedly.  Every time I answer no one is there and it goes dead in about 2 minutes.  I tried calling it back and I get loud noises or a voice telling me this number is not in use.  These calls are about every half hour and It's really getting to the point where  I don't want to answer my own phone!!!  This is just plain harrassment!!!!

with a beep too

One thing to check into is Google Voice. I have a phone number with them and when those calls started coming in, selected "block caller".

And done.

Also, *anybody* that tells you they can't trace who is doing this is full of horse pucky. It's a voice over IP with a fake caller id signal. And yes those people *can* be found. One bunch using caller id spoofing over VOIP just went to jail for it.
