Got the same message but from some guy talking as if we had spoke before. He started off his pitch with "it looks like we were able to find a great deal for you to reduce your interest 1.5%" blah blah blah. Losers.

Thanks for posting the Google Voice audio. That's the same idiot that called me. Sounds like if you pick up they will give you a live person. If you don't, they set off the pre-recorded voicemail that sounds like a live person leaving you a message.

I don't answer calls with unfamiliar tele numbers. I do try to identify who called. There was no message left

I got the same message. Funny I don't have but 1 credit card and it's almost paid down to $20. I found out their location (for this phone number - 212-504-7000) is as follows:

Caller identifies himself as "Mitch Edwards," says we spoke last week about lowering interest rates on credit cards, says this is the last courtesy call, and says to call back at 1-800-310-9982.

I am getting a call on my cell phone from California that I do not recognize and am wondering how to find out where it is coming from any by whom without paying for it.

Seriously ....  just call me back ... I make 5,000 of these horse s**t calls day, and if I can get just one of you saps to give me your credit card information and pay me an up-front fee to reduce your payments, I'm in line to get promoted to the Vacation Sweepstakes Department.

Yup. Same thing.. Got the first call from them today.. Didn't answer.. Left a message on my cell, the first half of which was cut off.. All I heard is something about minimum payments.. I called the # they left on my cell phone 1-800-310-9758 and immediately some woman picked up and asked who she was speaking to. I said "Chris" and her next question "And are you currently paying high credit card interest rates".  I immediately groaned and hung up on her..  Scammers for sure

i received virtually the same call, but from "Alexis Brown" saying we'd spoken last week, last courtesy call, and promising to lower your credit card debt to %1.5 which is great since you are only making minimum payments. Totally not true. She left 1-800-310-9758 as the call back number.

This number belongs to the first company in the list below, however, they lease it to the second company in my list below.  As far as who TM Caller ID, LLC customer is, I don't know.   They will not tell me.   This company is shadey (all of them) and they deserve to be put out of business.  Everyone should call all the numbers, all day long, to complain.

Yeah well I got a message that was cut off. The only thing it said was "....increasing your monthly payments. And again press 1 to talk to me!.....bla bla bla" And on my voicemail my voice mail comes on and then the automated lady comes on saying something like " to leave a voice message press one or just wait for the tone, to leave a callback number press (insert number here) now" so it doesn't immediately go to the beep after my personalized message comes on. Anyways it sounded like a recording, but of a realy person not the robot recordings that usually call me. Anyhow it freaked me out a little at first, cuz I was like ohh crap what did I not pay that my payments are gonig up so I goggled the phone number. So thanks you guys! But I usually don't give out my cell number to anyone either.

Same call here.  Guess they're ignoring the nationa No-Call list, then.

The beginning of the message was cut off, so if there was any company name given, I didn't hear it -- but the rest of the message was identical.

One more thing -- forgot to mention.  The number that appeared on my cell's Caller ID is 213.504.7000, which has an entry here:

Since I'm not into the whole 'minimum payments' modality, nor in a position where finance forces me to play that game, this immediately smelled fishy.

Someone in the other thread about this call mentioned the thing where the DNC list is effectively invalidated if you share your information -- that is, in fact, not necessarily true.  Companies are required to notify you if they plan to share your phone number or other personal info with other companies *and* allow you to opt-out.  I work for a bank, and our regulators are fanatical about it, so it's something I watch for carefully.  However, since the call appears to be a scam, I doubt the scam-artist cares.

Just got a call from "Alexis Brown" giving me a call back about what we talked about last week....lowering my interest rates to 1.5% and cutting my payments in half...she makes it sound like we are old friends and she has been working for us quite diligently.
Well, we have NO credit debt, and actually we have NO credit cards at all and just completed bankruptcy....so do not call her back, this is the second company to call and offer me this in 2 days.
