this number has started showing up on my CallerID. They don't leave messages with me either.

I have a pretty cool phone system that is routed through my computer (Asterisk), from the comments here it appears I can safely block their calls in the future. I like to kick annoying callers to a message that tells them not to call me, then I never hear the phone ring again when they call.

This number keeps coming on the caller ID. I do not answer and I'm on the Do not call list.

I have received multiple calls from this phone number.  I only answered once and they stated they were calling on behalf of Centerpoint Energy to set up a gas meter inspection.  They wanted me to block off 4-6 hours on a weekday for something that would take 10 minutes to perform.  I declined and made the mistake of saying that I would consider it at some later time.  They have since called approximately 15 times within a week, and never left a voice mail on my cell phone.  I finally answered it today and was shocked when they introduced themselves this time not as Centerpoint, but as Xcel Energy.  I immediately suspected a scam, and contacted Centerpoint myself.  

Apparently this IS a legitimate phone call, it is just coming from a 3rd party contractor called "United Locating Services" which Centerpoint has chosen to schedule all of these appointments.  The Centerpoint representative's best guess was that they also do work for Xcel and it was just a goof up.  She informed me that the inspection is a federal mandate, but only has to be done every 3 years.  So from the time you receive the first irritating phone call, you have 3 years to get the inspection done.  

I let Centerpoint know that the contractor was unprofessional and led me to believe I was being scammed.  Hopefully they will choose a better service in the future, or perhaps make the calls themselves.

Keep getting calls from this number 218-740-2135. My phone number is on the Do Not Call List.

I have received over 20 calls from this number. Looked it up and found it to be an energy company solicitation. Sent an e-mail to ge them to stop but they haven't. I just about ready to contact the BBB. They won't like that!

If you answer they hang up. If you don't a man says: "Hey, this is Bob." He is laughing and then says: "Hey, why don't you call me back at 218-740-2135." He calls once or twice a day at all hours. I want it to stop and have reported to the phone company, but it continues.

I didn't answer, but I'm on the DNC list so I know who should and shouldn't be calling.

Only around 10 people has my cell phone number, so I usually always answer. This # was so weird i haven't answered, they never leave a message. So I decided to search the number, never thought there would be some mant complaints and so little answers

I just got a call myself from (218) 740-2135...  I did not answer the phone, but instead I looked it up and found this website!  Thank you guys for posting this website to inform everyone about this number!!  I will not answer this call.

They kept calling my GrandCentral number since it's listed on my domain contact info, but hang up after the first ring.  I called to have my number removed and the removal mailbox is full, so I called back and talked to "Ryan" who removed it.

They keep calling, they asked for my daughter and before i could say anything they hung up

I get called twice a day everyday by this number. When I pick up the phone they hang up, and if I don't pick up the phone they don't leave a message. I called them back and tried to get removed from their list but, it says their voicemail box is full. I hate this!

Calls every day several times a day. Wish it would stop. No one is there.

For the last few weeks I've been getting a few calls a week from this number. It will ring a few times and when I pick up there is no one on the line. I'm getting quite annoyed and frustrated and would like them to stop calling.

THey call me and leave no message. Atleast 3 times a day. I do not know this number and would like it to stop. This is the second case of numbers that is done this.

I am on the DNC and they still call me all of the time does no good to try and call them back
