Just received call from 2187402135...I am on the DNC list.

get many calls from this number day and night.  I ignore it, they leave no message.  sometimes they call 30 minutes apart.  I have straight talk and my service does not let me block  numbers.

(218) 740-2135 has been calling my cell phone several times a day for weeks now.  Interesting how all of the prior posts are from 2007 and this is now June 2012, and this phone number is still active.  It's agrivating and annoying as hell.

Called several times. Finally answered and they claimed to be from DTE Energy, then sounded like a phishing call asking to verify name, address, et al. WATCH OUT FOR THESE GUYS, THEY SEEM TO BE PHISHING. PROBABLY NOT WHO THEY SAY THEY ARE since the info they gave was not same as the info on file at DTE. Called number back and they said they are "Customer Link" a "sales and marketing" team.

Since I am a leasing agent for a property management company, and currently have a few vacancies in the Twin Cities metro area, I answered this call at 8:23 this morning, thinking that it was someone from northern MN--relocating for school or work--responding to one of my ads.

I answered with the company name, and the caller identified himself as Paul from Xcel and requested to talk to "the person responsible for paying the bills."

I told him that that person was not available; could I take a message?

He asked when that person would be available; I said later, after 10:00.

He asked for the name of that person; I told him it was Human Resources; he demanded a specific name; I asked what this was regarding; he said he could save us money on our central air conditioning costs; I told him we didn't have central A/C; he hung up.

They say they are updating contact info for DTE Energy ( that's what they said to me, anyway). I am in MICH. The phone number they called from is registered in Minnesota. They wanted my name, telephone number, email, and DTE Meter Number. Gosh - I think DTE has my meter number, and you just called me at my phone number, lady...... Probably a scam outfit that will change your service without your knowledge - collecting as much personal info as possible to substantiate their bogus service change. I told the woman caller, who was very polite and nice, that I would update my info directly with DTE. She gave me their number and told me I would probably sit on hold for a long time, and I could give the info to her to save myself the trouble. I thanked her and declined.

If now one answers when you answer some one else picked up the call ahead of you. They call a group of numbers and speak to the first one who answers. I got the call on my cell.

Melanie Sievert is a supervisor at Customer Link located in Duluth, MN. They're a telemarketing company that handles "customer service" for several providers including DUKE ENERGY. She actually cost me my job because she refused to call a customer back when they were demanding to talk to her. She's super rude.

If you want to file a report google "customer link duluth, mN" and then get the number and call them and ask for the MANAGER. Dave Stewaurt

IT left no message

Calls our home phone several times a month.  Never leave a message; don't answer if we pick up.  Just an open "boiler room" background noise line until we hang up.  We live in a small rural MN town with public utilities; no Excel Energy or any other big name energy company provides services to our town.

I signed up for a home energy assessment from Duke Energy. This number called and left a voicemail to let me know they received my online request.

They hung up on my machine.  It simply showed up as Duluth, MN on Caller ID.

They called my cell today and claimed to be taking a survey on banking and how I make decisions about such things.  I stopped listening and said I don't have time I'm working.  Just stated talking when I answered and didn't stop until I interrupted.  BS I say, but even if it were someone company really taking a survey be polite and ask me if I have time!

They knew my first, middle and last name, said they were conducting a survey. I told them to take my name and number off their list as I'm on the national do not call list
