got my first call From "research Center" Hope this does not become a nightmare

This is so wrong when unknown callers can call you and invade your privacy for their simple pleasure.  I want this to stop!  I enjoy my privacy and expect to continue to have it no matter what.  Stop calling me 231 224 2031 Mountain W Rese!!!  I know you mean me no good!!  4:14pm June 17, 2008  I called Mountain W Rese and requested to have my name removed from their list and was told by a representative that my number will be removed from their list shortly.

231-224-2031 is “Mountain Research Center” in Idaho. At least, that’s what it is as of July 18, 2008. Give them a call, if you dare, at their headquarters- 208-232-1818, and press 0. You’ll get a live person who says he will take your number off the calling list. If they call again, I suggest you call them—repeatedly—say, every night for six months, and tell them what you think of their “research”.
[This is happening to us because our brave Washington politicians didn’t want to include their own “political surveys” in the do-not-call legislation. Perhaps you should also “survey” your congressman every day for a few months.]

I got a call from these people. The woman on the phone said she was from Topical Research. They were doing a phone survey about the presidential compaign. I believe it was for the Obama campaign considering thay emphasizied Mcain's weaknesses and Obama's strengths. It was basically a thinly veiled smear campaign against Mcain.

Repeated calls/hangups.  Requested do not call repeatedly via website at contact@mwrcenter.com.  No change.

Call them back at 208.232.1818.  Contact is personnel director Douglas Montague.  Call often.

I am sick of this caller too.

Oh my god I just want to pull my hair out. This da** caller knows little english and when I say take me off your calling list they hang up and just keep calling! Put a stop to it!

I received a call at 7:30 PM and another at 10:05 PM!! Isn't that against the rules?  No message left, and I won't be answering.

We were receiving constant calls from this number - I called the number mentioned in one of your posts (208-232-1818, ext. 7699) and spoke to a man who assured me that he would remove my number from their lists. Will update this post if that turns out not to be true.

Calls every day - I'm on the Do Not Call List.

This number calls my house four to five times a week.  If they cannot leave a message, there is something up with that!  I am on the do not call registry but i guess that doesnt pertain to them

They call me 3 times a day, at least once a week. This has been going on for months...Even though I requested to be taken off their calling list.

I live in Wisconsin and just started getting these calls-the only difference is that it's coming from 231-224-2032, not 2031. But caller ID is the same, Mountain W Rese. Due to my job, my number is unpublished and unlisted, so if I don't know who's calling, I don't answer the phone. Glad I googled it and found this! It's happened 2 days in a row now, and after reading these comments, I fear it's only the beginning.

They have been calling me in California at least twice a day and the evening calls. I didn't answer for a while, but the caller does not give up. I am tired of these type of calls. If you answer the call and ask to be removed from their call list. They will argue that it isn't a sales call. I am on the National Do Not Call List and California States Do Not Call list. I told her I will contact a police, she said "Go ahead!".

I get a  call from this number 3 or 5 times a day early and late hours and I'm sick of them calling. How can I put them on the do not call list?

I just take the number off my answering machine  -- I never answer my phone unless I recognize who is calling    --- thanks so much for this service.

Here's a fun way to annoy call centers.  If the caller speaks little English or has a strong foreign accent (yes, I know that's politically incorrect) repeatedly ask to talk with someone who speaks English.  Don't say anything else - act as if you can't understand a word they are saying, but really want to do business with them or answer their survey.  Particularly if they are trying to sell you something, they will scramble around trying to get someone on the phone you can understand.  Try it - it's good for laughs.
