I called them at 208-232-1818 ext 7699 and spoke with a polite man.  He took my number and said that it would be placed in their "internal do not call list."

they called and said it was topical research.   then the guy wanted to no did anyone listen to radio or watch news, wtf.   I googles the number and see all these posts on it.   weird.

I have been waiting on a call about a test result on when I saw the Research Center on the caller ID, I thought it might be the call I have been waiting on.  But there was no message.  So, I just typed Research Center and the number 231-224-2031 into a search engine and here I am.
What is this?

If you have Comcast Digital Voice you can screen their calls.  They will receive a message that says you are not accepting calls.  Here is how you do it:

Lift the receiver and listen for the dial tone and Press *60.  The menu will guide you.

Whew...these people call & call & never say a word.

This number calls our house repeatedly, nightly and daily.  Thank goodness for caller ID so I can get something done besides talk to these rude people!
We are concerned because they have somehow gotten the name of a minor that doesn't live here, and keep asking for them.  Creepy.  They should be put out of business... Or better yet be held accountable to the authorities.

"You can call them and ask to be removed from their call list. The number is 208-232-1818 ext 7699", as K-7 Nov 2007 reports, only results in a voicemail that doesn't seem to have a thing to do with getting off their list. Does anyone else have something current that will work? Thanks

No one speaks when you answer! They call at all hours of the day and at night.

If they're really a real research company, why do they hang up when you answer the phone?

I just began to get these calls. The last one was at 9:22 PM! They started this morning around 8 AM and in total it has been 5 TIMES today! Does anyone know who I can call to report this? I am on Time Warner.

I am in California and I started receiving these calls like all the others. There is no name it just says private with the phone number. I did some research online and found this awesome sight, thank you to all who posted. I was going crazy wondering who was calling me. I never answer their calls and they hang up without leaving a msg. I did call the number given above and left a msg to NOT CALL me again. I'm was kinda scared doing that but we will see if the calls stop. Thank you all again for posting.

I also have been getting these calls.  Which you could Taser through a phone.  Funny, an earlier post seemed to indicate that this was a Left-Wing research group.

K, I called the number given above to insist on them taking me off their call list. I left a msg and requested for them to not call me. Ya right, they still do. So this time, I blocked my caller id and called the number 231-224-2031 and a woman answered. Didn't sound like a business woman but like if you were calling your aunt. I asked if I contacted a business and she say No like in a shocked way.. how weird is that.. I checked my redial and it was the correct number. very very weird.

Forget Mountain West.  According to the area code in my phone book, they're in upper Michigan, around Muskegon. Smell a rat; find rat.

They keep calling and going to voice mail before hanging up.  No message is left.  I am register on do not call list

Don't even call this numer back - it's a sales call - someone like the PHONE company has sold you name as part of a customer list.....they make money on your dime.......
