Hello, I've been reading through these messages and see that many people are annoyed bu these calls. I currently work for SRBI (as a part-time evening employee/second job).

    Just some facts:
    1) It is true that the DO NOT CALL doesn't apply to us. That is meant for telemarketers trying to sell you something. We never, ever try to sell anything. We are just asking for your opinion.

    2) If you ask us not to call you bac, the employee is supposed to code it as such. If you do receive a call back, then the employee didn't want to take the 'hit' for a refusal and coded it wrong to cover it up. If we get a lot of people requesting we take them off the list, our managers think it is something 'in our tone of voice' that makes people ask to be removed.

    3) Continuous callbacks/no message on answering machine. If we call you and get an answering machine, we are not supposed to leave a message. The computer then sets it up so the number is re-dialed. We (the phone reps) do not have any control over the frequency of the number of times the call is dialed. Also, if you state you do not have time, we are to code it to call you back in 2 days.

    4) If you say you are not interested and hang up during our introduction, then the computer will also repeatedly call you back. Their thinking is that you did not listen to the full intro to hear where we are calling from and for what purpose, so they believe you cannot have enough information to disregard the call.

    5) Most of us are just doing this to make extra money/supplement income/make ends meet. Believe me, it is not an ideal job - sitting in a call center w/25 - 50 other people calling people and repetitively stating the same script over and over.

    6) If you think the survey is a scam, ask for a verification number.  We are always givien a verification number to give to respondents with questions about surveys. If we say we do not know who the client is, that is usually because SRBI doesn't want us to be biased when asking questions.

    7) Actually, some of the surveys can be quite interesting and others can be extremely repetitive. I understand some people do not want to be bothered at home, but again, we are just doing our job.

Thanks for taking the time to read this.

This number (239-415-4400) has called my house 4 to 5 times daily. They ask several question about my household..offer to pay me $100.00 to answer a few personal questions. The reasons they call change with every phone call.  They are rude, will hang up on me when I refuse to answer questions.  They will not answer me when I ask for their name and what company they are working for. I ask them to remove my name from the call list and I'm told "oh, no. you don't understand, we don't have a call list. Your number is dialed randomly." HAHAHA!!! I'm not stupid. No way my number is randomly dialed 4-5 times everyday.

    Hey guys!
Since the kind ABT SRBI employees refuse to remove my number from their call list. I decided to call them. EVERYBODY needs to call  #212-779-7700 (company main office), then when the automated message says " if you know your parties extension please enter it now" dial  #4400. You will then speak to a receptionist ( WOW! a part-time job that doesn't ANNOY everyone in the USA!). Tell the receptionist that you are still getting phone calls after you have told them not to call & you need to speak to the manager over "telecommunications". I got transferred to TIM. He assured me I would no longer have any more problems and he would take care of the problem for me. I hope this helps everyone else. I'm hoping I will not have to make a trip to Fort Myers, FL to remove my number from their list myself.

I am an ex employee of SRBI, and am here to clear up a few things. We are not a trustworthy company, they brainwashed me to help them mine data by cold calling. No time is off-limits, because these are cold calls, we have no idea where the location is, this is why the time is of little importance to them, and why some people receive calls throughout the night.

This data is worth gold, which is then sold as such. Unfortunately, i truly fell for their lies, but after 2 months in the FL office, i finally quit.

I want everyone out there to know that this info. is sold. This information is available to anyone with money. I highly recommend to not give out any information, especially your SS#. This information is even sold on Craig's List.

These people are cold, concise, cruel, money-hungry, dangerous, and out-right crooks. Infact, if there is anyone out there investigating this company and need inside information, feel free to contact me.

Got a call from "Abt S" who wanted to do a survey about saving energy or some such nonsense.  We're also on the DNC.  The above "SRBI Employees" mention that computers do the dialing.  I thought autodialers were now illegal?  Have to look into that.

Dumb broad said she would try again later.  lol.

They probably only asked to speak to a male in that age range to make sure all age groups are represented in the survey or they may have been trying to catch a male quota up to their female quota.

poor ruby, it seems as if you are indeed stupid - the PHONE NUMBER is selected randomly (check out the concept behind "Random Digit Dialing", it's even on Wikipedia) and then DIALED until you actually answer the questions

I have been recieving these calls relentlessly. I know in California when you sign up for the DNC there is info about filing complainst against offenders. I looked into it once before, the state puts the financial burden on the person filing the complaint. So it seems they dont mind these offenders as bad as we do. I will say though that my call has always told me that I cold be removed from thier calling list when i asked but it seemed I never was. Then the proceeded to demand that I answer the survey questions, to which I refused.

    sjohnson is a lier
sjohnson is lying about the company selling information to anyone with money. sjohnson quit after 2 months after discovering ABT was selling information on craigs list? Ha! I know for a fact that sjohnson was fired after 2 months for stealing information with the intent to sell it. In fact, sjohnson, after the trial, will be enjoying life from the inside of a cell for quite some time. So, sjohnson, enjoy life on the outside while you can, there is no internet in prison, so you will have to just spread your lies to your fellow inmates.
