The number 262 703-1977 is a non-phone number being used as an ID. For sure it is KOHL's calling once you have activitated or utilized your new card. Answering the call initially, computer generated collection voices ask you to call promptly 1 866 876-3957. When owing them by credit card, they assume the right to call you displaying this fictitious ID#. Their response is to insist you write a "Cease & desist" letter to them to terminate their calls with no regard for your subscription to the Do Not Call list.
I recommend using your VISA or MasterCard... & terminating any KOHL credit card if you are inclined to shop at KOHL Department Store. Apparantly there is some clause in their agreement with you that entitles them to call the customer at all hours of the day. All calls are computer voiced preventing any interaction or complaint by the recipient.
Feel free to report any harrassment to the FCC & take the initiative to remove yourself from KOHL's untrusting credit department by using alternative methods of payment.

kohl's department store - won't answer it- reporting to do not call list

Recieved a call from 262-703-1977, no voicemail, no idea who it is.  Odd that this number actually comes up when I google it.

For nearly a week, they've been calling several times/day, no message.  Once I picked up and heard the message from Kohl's about paying a bill. Really annoying.

I called "Kohl's Charge Card Customer Service" at (800) 564-5740 and asked to have my number deleted from their database as I do not have a Kohl's card. I was told that it had been removed but can take up to 24 hours, so I guess I'll see if the calls continue...

i am so sick of the phone calls and they dont understand the fact when you say i will pay it when i have the money and then they start talking down to you sorry that doesnt fly with me it got that bad i asked him if he wanted to eat that phone im sick of it i have more importen things to do!!!!!

it is not a scam, it is a collection agency.  The reason it comes on Caller ID as a 126 area code is because it isn't displaying correctly.  It is showing the "1" when it doesn't need to.  The actual number is 262-703-1977.  And yes, it is Kohl's collection department.

when I was late, because they sent my bill after it was due, nobody called me to tell me..
I had to call them many many times...

It's Kohl's I answered it, because they called like 10 times in one day, while I was home sick.

I'm going on a hunt for kohls corporate numbers. Mix it up a little might stop it.

Same story as others: No Kohl's card. I've never even darkened their doors.  They call several times a day, sometimes leaving a message to call their office.  Called and told them to stop calling.  They are looking for a name that has no association with my family.  Evidently, someone with a late bill gave them a made-up phone number.  I was the unlucky person.  

Calls kept coming even after they said they'd take my name off.  Called again. Once more they said they'd take my name off.  This time the operator was terse and rude.  Calls still coming.  What to do?

I'll call their HQ and complain to someone who could actually do something.

Suggestion: Boycott this useless excuse for a retail store.  Do we really need them?

KOHL'S called at 9PM at Night!

Have been getting this call as well and when I answer the phone, no answer, when I call it , it does not ring, it goes right into a dead air state..  no noise, no nothing.

This telephone number is Kohl's Credit Card Services. However, when you call it back you are immediately asked to enter the last 4 digits of your social security #. Be aware that they use this to verify your acct. After speaking to someone, I called the Kohl's other hotline which was 1-800-499-9467 and it asks the same thing.

Thanks for the info ... I don't have a Kohl's card, and wouldn't give my information out randomly anyway, but it's good to know who the calls are coming from.
