Repeated calls from this # 269-768-2622 today. They keep hanging up. I'm trying to STUDY! uHHHHHHHHHHH. Finally walked outside to take this #$^$*^ & call and the guy has the last 4 digits of my cc#? WTF? and said I recently purchased something and the merchant  wants to send me $120 in free gas cards ( I bet not)  he also wanted to verify my address? I told him if he has all that info he surely has my address! I asked again where he was calling from and HE HUNG UP ON ME!  ##%$^%$^%* the nerve! Bet it was Dollar General or Bealls seems that these are the 2 most recent places I went whom also now ask for my phone #, as part of security.  NEXT TIME I GIVE 770-908-7383 REJECTION HOTLINE

Someone else reported this on another site, but this is exactly what they are up to:

It's a scam similar to the EZ-Rate one.

They will have most your info (name and stuff) making them sound authentic.  But they'll need one detail (like the security number on your visa/mastercard in my case) to confirm it's you.  Then they'll use that to charge you.  I know that there's a similar scam that chases your account number for debiting purposes.

The spiel I got all three times has been along these lines (the details alter a little for each call):

"Hi, Catherine, this is "so and so" calling from your Mastercard ending in XXXX.  You are a preferred customer due to your recent purchase history and/or repayment history.  We'd like to reward your loyalty with $200 worth of gas coupons.  We'd also like to offer you (about) $500 worth of benefits for your next holiday -- where would you like to go?

"Blah Blah Blah

"You just need to pay the $1.95 postage and handling/shipping/processing fee.  Now I need to confirm that you're Catherine Lastname of XX Street and City in State and Zipcode?.  Good and your card number is XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX?  Good.  Finally, I need to confirm you're in possession of the card -- can you please flip it over and read out the security code to me?"

The phone numbers related to this that I know of are: 269-768-2622 and 517-933-2030 and 616-980-1151.

I assume there're more numbers but these are the three I've been contacted by so far.

HANG UP AND REPORT THEM.

Your bank or credit company will never ever need you to give them the details -- they issued your card and have all that stuff on their computers.  They know those and at the most will read some of them out for you to confirm.

These people have been calling me all day and refuse to quit. It's getting annoying.

I have gotten several calls over the past several days from this number and also a similar number.  I visited the Federal Trade Commission to file a complaint.  They routed me to the National Do Not Call Registry and I filed a complait with them.  it was fairly easy to do and hopefully if everyone does it, the company will have to stop.  Here is the link to get started with your complaint

got a call from this number and i did not give them any info and hung up this is a scam about gas cards

Got the same deal as everyone else, except the number they used was 269-477-2152. I picked it up because it said CONFIRMORDER as the ID and I thought it was for something  else we're expecting. Had my last 4 digits of my debit card, wanted to do the gas voucher thing and charge me 29 bucks a month for their smart shopper program? I told them no, they didn't have permission to send me anything and hung up. I also reported them to the FTC.

I received a call from this number stating my order would be shipped.  I would like to know who this is because I didn't order anything.

I have received 3 phone calls from this # within the last 3 hours...stating they are confirming a delivery...we haven't ordered anything...called the # back thinking they had made a mistake in their programming of the # for a possible delivery... once I got to the prompts..I hung up...not going there.  Hmmmm, everyone else has stated its regarding a gas card...etc.  I called our cell phone company and had the number blocked.

Just call their number and listen to the options, Option 2 will be for them to not contact you ever again, Option 3 is better - for them to remove your number from their database. Worked for me.

This number called today, but was labelled "Customer Service" I didn't answer and they didn't leave a message..

This number continuously calls my phone. They leave no voice mail, nothing, they are calling all hours of the day and night. I am trying to report them to the Federal Trade Commission, but their site will not allow me to report it without a company name and email address, etc. Does anyone have any suggestions? I received 5 phone calls today from 269-768-2622.  We were home for the last call so we answered.  They identified themselves as from "Visa" and that I had recently made a purchase on my card that allowed me the opportunity to become part of a special plan they were offering.  I was to recieve free gas and other products for trying this out for one month and I could return the offer.  THEN I was told this would cost me $25.00 per month after that.  I recognized this same plan was offered to me earlier this year and told them I had refused it then and did not want it now.  Caller was very put out with me -but we are on the do not call list and I did not appreciate this call.  Phone answerers beware.

Have gotten two phone calls from this number today and refuse to pick up.  says that they're calling from michigan in my phone

Same as everyone else has been reporting.  Congratulations Deb, your recent visa purchase has entered you into a drawing where you have won $120 in gas cards.  All we need is your credit card number to bill the nominal $1.25 postage fee....

I told them they were a scam and to never call me again.

Next step...FTC!

Calls me every day to confirm something but never a company name! This is annoying!

Received 2 calls from this number today. First time they didn't leave a message, second time I answered.  They claimed to be from "Vista Service" and wanted to send me free gas cards as a thank you for being a credit card customer.  It seems like a scam, I'd be wary.

Keep getting a repeated call from this number - no message is ever left so I decided to Google and this page came up...
