Phone rang about 8 notes into ring tone, then stopped.  Not even enough time to answer.

my(650) phone rang once on 5:40 PM PST 12/27/08. Never had such calls during last 3 years (It's business line, and added for dontcall DB).

just called ,,,, no answer

Got a call this evening from this number (21:32 EST). No message left.

Got calls from this number on my 2 different cell phones within 1 hr.  No message.  What the heck.

Got a call on my VZW cell. 12.27.08 at 6pm I sent the call to vm, and no message left

got a call at 10:11 am sunday morning. one ring and they hung up. dont know who it is.

Called my cell today at 10:01 am.  I missed the call and they didn't leave a message.  My cell is registered with "Donotcall.gov."

Both my husband and I received a call on our trac phones within minutes of each other.  We didn't answer them because we didn't know the number. Checked on line and found this blog.  If these people would put as much effort into something constructive they could make something of themselves instead of annoying everyone.

I got the call recently, but I will not say exactly when because then that would give them too much information.  I did not answer anyway.  

It does not seem to do much good to report this kind of abuse to the government regulatory agencies.  I report spam to caspam... and spam@uce... all the time, but I get little or no results.  I have reported other kinds of abuses to other government regulatory agencies and whistle blower lines but never even got a response.  

Many of the abusers are likely to be connected to "the mob" anyway, so they have plenty of money and power to influence all of those regulatory agencies.  That probably is the reason that The SEC never did anything about that crooked billionaire who stole money recently in a major ponzi scheme even after his activities had been reported to The SEC several times.  

The public needs to wake up and realize once and for all that the government regulatory agencies are staffed by the foxes who are guarding the hen house.  

Our reports and complaints will only result in Reprisals coming our way because we complained.   The No Fear Act will do us no good in the real world, and trying to be a good citizen will only get us labeled as snitches and trouble makers.  

Banks and Credit Card Companies do illegal things all the time with impunity.   Just look at what happened in the Mortgage Industry and Insurance Industry which led to the recent "Government Bail Out"   "ChiChing".  

I look at all of this differently because of my Christian Faith, so I just see it all as more evidence that we need The Messiah to come soon because those Politicians and Civil Service Bureaucrats and "Big Labor" will never permit any meaningful attempts to clean up this mess.

After every attempt at reform or election in the past 232 Years in this country there have been big celebrations over the promise that finally things will change for the better, but all we really get is more of "The Status Quo".

Unsolicited call on my cell phone from this number.  I AM listed on the DO NOT CALL registry.  No caller id, no voice mail.  They ALSO called my home phone about 1 1/2 hrs later.  That phone is also listed on the DO NOT CALL registry.
