As much as I don't like getting unsolicited calls, I think it's only fair to point out some facts about this particular company.  As you can see from the dates on the posts, they've been around for a while.  I remember being contacted by them several years ago, and the woman I spoke with was courteous--a rarity today--and only wanted to know if we'd received our phone book and if it was in good condition.  According to their website, they only pay their contractors after they have verified delivery of the product.  It's quality control, and it's good business practice. No, I don't work for them, but in this depressed economy, they are providing decent jobs for people who otherwise might not have any income.

Hi Michelle, Thank you for posting that info, but I still have a question for you. How did they get my phone number in the first place? My phone number IS unlisted, it's not in the phone book as I requested it not to be listed.
Yes, the phone books were dropped off at the secured apartment building I live in, they were dropped off at the front door. So how does your company even know I live there? My manager doesn't give out names or numbers, so how would you know my phone number? with it not being listed.

I got a call from this number saying Broomfield Company. I received a phone book on my porch yesterday. When that happens you get robocalls until you answer saying you got it.

I got this one on my phone and just didn't answer.  I mean, anyone calling me from Colorado (which is what popped up on the caller ID) has a wrong #.   Then when I tried to see what the number was, it brought me here.  I'm thinking it must be some kind of junk...because they would not be delivering phone books in Canada :-)

If you call the company headquarters at 831-333-1100, a very friendly receptionist will take your number and put you on the do not call list. We'll see................

Tips:
-STEP 1: Get a long distance provider like Tel 3 Advantage or Yak, some numbers are long distance.  
-STEP 2: Call the person or company.
-STEP 3: Apply the National Do Not Call for your phone number (fcc.gov / crtc.gc.ca , if needed).
-STEP 4: File a CRTC Canada or FCC (fcc.gov / crtc.gc.ca) complaint under contact us (if needed).
-STEP 5: File a police report (if needed).
-STEP 6: Call blocking (if needed).

They posted elsewhere they are calling to check about delivery of phone directories (Yellow Pages), and they are exempt from donotcall list. the good news is you can be removed from their calling list by sending an email to DONOTCALL@teampcd.com and give them the number you'd like removed. I'm going ot give that a try. At least they claim to give you that chance, and I think that's good.

Reading the above posts- I wish they would have talked to me instead of hanging up on me when they heard my voice- I would have liked a telephone book. Some of us do like phone books at least they are free and you do not have to wait for a data response.

A message was left about did I receive phone books. I do not answer the phone of numbers I don't know. We are on the DNC list of course. What the hell is it good for?

This is funny..if you're on a do not call list..then you shouldn't be getting any calls...the answer you gave makes no sense...you just don't answer the call? THEY SHOULDN'T BE CALLING YOU. The Do Not Call List is basically (IMO) useless....if I don't recognize a number on cell or landline...I just let it go...

Wish they would stop leaving phone books, mine goes right in the recycle bin.  Didn't ask for it don't want it, it is an annoyance and clutters the neighborhood.  Save the trees.

Exactly!  Very few people use phone books any more.  The white pages publishers have realized this as I have not received a white directory for several years.  But, the yellow pages publishers keep on a-wishing and a-hoping that someone will use their product.

I did receive a yellow pages directory a few days ago (and I got a call from this number today that I did not answer - I know no one in Colorado, so who is calling me?),   And, I have also seen, walking through my neighbourhood, many of these yellow page books lying out in front of many houses and buildings.

They would all go out of business if they only delivered to people who want them, so they fight any bylaw or ordinance requiring them to do that.  Just a huge waste of paper.  I have not used the yellow pages in over 10 years.
