I have received several calls from this number. I have not picked up because I am on the National 'Do Not Call' list, and I usually don't pick up the phone if the caller is someone I don't know or am not expecting.

Just got a call from this number at 712 PM on 17 Sep 07.  My answer machine kicked in.  My answer machine outgoing mesage starts with the same sounds that a switchboard plays for a non working number (AKA the tones from hell) similar to what the telezapper uses.  The caller hung up immediately after that.  I am on the national do not call list.  I do not have caller ID, but when I did the *69 callback, I was informed that this was the number that called me.  Google search on number indicates some outfit by the name of "Product Development"

When I answered this call, there was a strange beep but no one was there - it wasn't a fax beep but something similar but very short. But then, my security system went on the blink beeping and showing that there was trouble on the line. I called BRINKS and they said sometimes calls reset security systems and since I had my doors open it sensed something was wrong and that is why it showed trouble on the line.

I called back and got a recorded message saying that they are delivering a telephone book in my area and they wanted me to give them usefull information. Who uses a phone book in this day and age?

Stupid keeps calling, early morning, late at night.  I am on Do Not Call list.

Received this call on my cell phone but did not answer since I do not answer any  calls from anyone that I do not know.  I am on the National Do Not Call List.

Received a call from this number in the middle of the day, did not answer because I am on the Do Not Call list. No message left.

I'd like to PRODUCT DEV these callers right up their PRODUCT DEVs.

I am also on the National Do Not Call List, and I also never answer calls from people I do not know (and even from some I do, depending on my mood) ;P

a voicemail message was left - something about if a book was left at door, press 1, if not press 9...

303-280-8689 called 5:54PM MST when I was home. They hung up when I picked up.
According to other posts this company is verifying phone book deliveries.
I believe that their behavior forfeits the privilege of being answered honestly.  If they ever call when I'm home, and if they answer their robodialer when I pick up, I'll tell them I didn't receive my phone books.  
If they ask my address I'll tell them that I don't give out that information to telemarketers.

This number called and hung up at 1 pm on Jan. 24, 2008.  No idea who it was.

This number called and hung up at 2:22 pm on Feb 8th, 2008.  It appears from reading above that they delivered a yellow phonebook in a yellow bag somewhere in your driveway, porch, walkway, bushs, etc. I see mine thrown in the side of my driveway. Its small and yellow. One day I'll go out and look at it. Go check yours out. Who uses paper anymore in the 21st century - TREE KILLERS - LOL!

2/18/07 at 11:38am 303-280-8689 Product Development, comes across my caller id.  So, I called the number, just wanted to curse these people out.  So, tired of this telemarketing, I am on the DNC list, for what good it does.  When I called the number back it did ring and then a machine came on and said the mailbox is full.  I guess that others had the same idea.

They call you then hang-up...googled their number....seems to be a problem to everyone...we are on the do not call list.

Product Development Corporation (PDC) is a national distributor of telephone directories.  PDC utilizes phone calls to confirm delivery of telephone directories.  PDC does not leave the survey questions on an answering machine.  The Federal Do-Not-Call legislation does not appy to organizations that are not soliciting (selling or marketing something). PDC is not soliciting.

PDC uses delivery verification through phone calls because of the cost and quality of this quality control method.  This type of quality control process is done by all the major companies in the distribution of telephone directories.  Having said this, PDC is aware and respects that there are individuals that would not like to be part of this type of survey.  As a result, PDC has created its own internal Do-No-Call list.  If you or anyone else would like to have their phone number removed from our calling lists, please email the phone number you wish to be removed to DoNotCall@teampdc.com.  

I would like to reiterate that delivery verification calling is a quality control standard in our industry and that each company that does this type of quality control is responsible for their own list.  As such, even though PDC will no longer contact all numbers that are requested to be on our DoNoCall list, you may be contacted by others that do not have this capability.
