Just called my AT&T Cell...I answered, they hung up. When I called back from a different phone it said "Verizon number has been changed, or disconnected..." and gave a Verizon message identifier...

I got a call at like 5am from that number

I just received another call from this Number, and no one left any message, at 10:27 EST, TOO Late for any Normal Person to call!

Should I report this to the Police?

I received a call from that number last night at about 9:30pm EST. I didn't answer it because I didn't recognize the number or the area code. I have my number registered on the National Do Not Call List. I guess it is time for me to report it so this person/company can be fined for violation.

Same here! It's so annoying. I'm just glad to know it's not my fiance's family. They are from California & I knew that was a Cali area code so I thought they were just blowin my phone up! Lol. I wonder what it is, though...
I know that my fiance has used my cell phone for like game cheats & stuff like that off of the internet, no matter how many times I tell him not to. So, if any of you do anything like that... maybe that's it.
But, the weirdest thing has happened with my cell phone is that a friend's old number that was still saved under his name called me & there was like a recorded voice asking me what was up and how i was doing then it hung up. I called back & it said the number was out of service. Weird stuff.

Just ignore it if you can.  My phone has blown up 6 times today in 3 hours.

I've received numerous calls from this no. and no one ever leaves a msg. I finally took the call this morning, heard a beep and nothing else. I returned the call and got a Verizon msg. that the # has been disconnected or no longer is working. Did a reverse # look-up and it's a cell # in California. Hope it isn't someone's way of stealing info.!

Been dealing with this phone number calling me since yesterday 11/17/2010.  Number calls me once an hour!  Same recorded message when you try to call it back.  When you answer the call, it just disconnects.  How can this problem be ongoing since 2008?!?!

This number calls me just like all the others have complained.  Once an hour!  I've answered the call twice - just disconnects.  I've called it back, some automated Verizon message about how the number is no longer in service.  Very, Very, Very Annoying!!!  Apparently this is a 2-year long problem!!!  WTF?!?!

I have been getting calls since yesterday afternoon. They called every hour until 10 pm. They started calling every hour again this morning at 8am and still calling once every hour!!

Verizon  won't do anything about it because....  judging by the number of posts (regarding this number) on "whocallsme.com",  I'm sure this business has a pretty substantial Verizon bill every month!!!  Verizon's new motto apparently is "MONEY TALKS...BULL**** WALKS"!!  Guess I'll be turning the volume off on my phone at night and early AM from now on... I just wish they would lose my number.

Thanks for the post on what you found out Heather... at least we'lI all know what to expect out of Verizon's customer service dept in the future (not a whole lot).

Well, atleast I know I am not alone.  I have the same issue....since last night at 6pm through 8am this morning, 8 calls!!!! Again when I answer, nothing. I called back, verizon message. I just got off the phone with AT&T (my carrier). Apparently, because my phone is on a business account, they can't block the number. If I had a personal account, there is something they could sell me for $4 a month that can block certain numbers. She looked to see if I could do a call reject but, of course, my phone doesn't have that feature. My only option is to change my phone number!!! Really???!!!
There has got to be something we can do!!!!!! I am so mad right now!!

Same story, I got night calls from this number today, it really annoyed me a lot!

to add to this strange problem, I'm aware of 2 cases where a number belonged to someone who died, the account was closed ('that number is no longer in service" but the calls continued on a more limited basis. -weird !  It would be interesting to know who originally 'owned' this number, since, according to the phone company it currently belongs to no one.

This number calls me every hour on my cell phone. My wireless company said there is nothing I can do. Annoyed!

Your comment about stealing info is what I am concerned about. I just cleared my cell phone of any personal items. These days, you can never be too careful.

I found this on another sight the number has been calling me since yesterday and hoping it finally stopped I havent gotten a call in over 2 hours but I recived 24 since it started calling
