Now don't start crying...I only want to tell you your the type that looks to Obama for help, and can't understand why you haven't gotton it yet. Am I right? Ha, thought so...

I have filed a complaint against this organization with both the Indiana Attorney General and the Illinois Attorney General's office.  I feel that with all the messages on here, that if everyone files a complaint, then maybe this kind of telephone survey program will produce some strict rules to go by in the future or else.  This organization is resorting to harrassment - pure and simple.

You will need to have a lot of information handy, but the biggest is what name or number shows up on your caller ID?  What are the dates and times they call?  Duration of the call?  Did they leave a message?  You have to consent to letting the AG's office look up your phone records - piece of cake for me since my cell phone records all their attempts.  You also have to let them know what has been communicated between you and them.  One other thing is that you might have to testify in a court of law.  Find out what you need from your own Atty General's office about consumer telephone privacy, send it in and then forward a copy it to Illinois so she can deal with it as well.  Hey, the phone number is a land line from Chicago Illinois, so I think it should be her problem.  Good Luck all!

Tell us if it worked.  I have a problem with giving my cell phone number out ... even if it is to stop the calls.  I don't trust them.

Some funny suggestions you might want to do:

1.) Participate in the Survey, but give absolutely ridiculous answers. ( i.e. Give the classic Quagmire response to how many children you have, "I have so many of them that I have probably have children in foreign countries."  If you are a guy.  Or in your best southern drawl, "Now that's none of your business, my friend" if you are a female.)

2.) Have your 3 year old kid, cousin or nephew answer the survey questions.  Sit back relax and enjoy the cuteness!

Called at nearly 9 pm; no message left. I blocked the number.

They are constantly calling - I never answer but they are persistent

First off, I'd like to let everyone know that we are only messengers doing our jobs.
We are trained professionals, although there are always a few bad apples that try and spoil the bunch but 9 times out of 10 they are dealt with. (written up and/or terminated)
We remain unbiased when we collect information and information remains private by law. We sign a confidentiality statement stating If anyone is caught embellishing information we are liable to a $500,000 fine and /or 5years in jail. So we take our jobs very seriously.
Most of us are just grateful to have jobs in this economy even though its only minimum wage for most part, especially folks just starting out.
We understand how some of the public may feel but this survey has been conducted since 1994.

As I said before we must remain unbiased at all times but we have a job to do, we appreciate if you could participate and appreciate those that have but we do understand those that may feel otherwise.

For those that feel otherwise and don't want to be bothered we apologize in advance, we don't dial the numbers the computer does it all for us.
There are 2 options:
1.) We are required to speak with you VERBATUM, so just keep saying "I have no children" after the questions we ask.
OR
2.) Say the 5 magic words, slowly and clearly "TAKE ME OFF YOUR LIST"- 3 times (because we are required to rebuttal at least 2 times before we hang up and place you on the call list, which in research is only good for a year)

We understand we may or may not catch people at appropriate times, the computer makes the dials and and we apologize in advance we're just messengers doing our jobs. Plus, our contract is up for renewal which we barely got this year, were just asking for understanding so we won't become victims as unfortunate as alot of people are in this economy.

NORC U Chicago called here at 4:15PM, Tuesday.  We are on the no-call list.  We DID receive a letter, but we have no children in the house (and that's public record).

He asked questions about my son's immunizations. The he asked questions about ethnicity etc. At the beginning he said that I am free to refuse to answer a question I don't like answering. I don't like
ethnicity questions. But when asked for my son's immunization records I hung up on him. He asked me
to verify his authenticity by checking by calling 1-866-999-3340 and visiting the website:

At this point and time i wouldnt care if it was god himself calling.
well i cant really say what i would like to say .you or him..But i havent felt this much cotemt for anyone in a long time.
I like my home and i consider it just that but apparently im wrong if i cant even stop these people from calling it ,but believe me i dont intend to stop trying.
Ive already told them ther no one in this house that fits there profile criteria for there supoed survey.

Wow you guys are a bunch of whiny morons. It's a survey, so you being on the Do Not Call list means jack sh*t. Learn about what the DNC list actually does instead of what you THINK it does. If you don't like getting called by these people, then answer the phone when they call, ask to speak to a supervisor, and demand your number be taken off the list. I got one phone call from these people, did that, and I haven't gotten a call since. You're adults, act like it.

You must not have any children.  You can apply for your child's social security card at anytime. When you file taxes you list you dependents using their names and social security #.  You need to stay out of the sun!!!  Ignorance is not bliss.

Got a call from them and I tried to be nice, but there is something strange going on with this so called CDC survey.  She told me the survey would take a half hour--I laughed and said if I had an extra half  hour at this time of night --7:30pm-- then why would I spend it doing a survey paid for with my tax dollars--she actually thought this was funny.  So I gave her 5 minutes of my time and the questioning was weird and I was very careful not to give out any correct information.  If I remember correctly the CDC can get this kind of information from any doctors office--how do you think the CDC keeps track of who gets the flu and what states are hit the hardest--they communicate with doctors offices!  Well they just called for the second time and I hope they call back--this time I will answer and have a little fun with them--how stupid do they think we are?
