- SusanI was contacted by Charles Demes ,and when Charles told me there was unclaimed money for me, my inital reaction was that this was some kind of scam. I thought the old saying about that if it sounded too good to be true, it probably isn't. Fortunately for me, my husband doesn't think this way, and after talking it over with him we decided to agree to Charles proposal. Now, we also did check out Charles company Capital Recovery and found out it was on the up and up according to the Better Business Bureau, and that was a factor in my decision as well. It turns out that it really was true ! I received a big inheritence of approximatley $15,000.00 ! My husband and I are retired and on a fixed income, so this money really helped us out. So, I would advise people to use Charles service. I'm glad that I did !

- JoeSure I was skeptical and cynical, but I said to myself what the heck, you have nothing to lose, so I agreed to Charles business proposal. It took a while to get my money, it was about 6 months, but it was money I didn't have before, and I wouldn't have gotten if Charles didn't contact me. I didn't even get that much, only a few thousand dollars, however I put it to good use for my family. Also, now that I went thru the process, I can honestly say to people if Charles contacts you , he knows what he's talking about, he really does his research. And, in this age of scams, he really is honest, and he was a nice guy to deal with

- MargaretI had a real good experience with Charles. He was a real straight shooter, no B.S. , which was very refreshing. He told me if he didn't recover any money for me, I wouldn't owe him or his company anything. And I didn't have to give him anything up front either, so I just signed the papers , and told him to go for it. It turns out I was due some money that I had no idea about. Charles came thru for me, and it really didn't take that long, about two months from start to finish. I'm happy with the way everything turned out, and I would recommend to people to give Charles a try to see if he recover any funds that maybe due to you

- IbericoSatisfied customer coming at ya! Yes, I did use Charles Demes' service and I'm 100% satisfied. I do have a suggestion. I'm a small business person and understand why Charles does not disclose up front the source of the funds. However, I would advise him to try disclosing fully up front and thus elimating the inital scepticism. He will always have the scum bags who will take the information and attempt to pursue it independently. The transparency will be an invaluable tool and will ultimately increase his business. Especially since when he did disclose the source to myself, My first reaction was "I would never have figured this out and more importantly would not have the slightest clue on how to pursue this matter" Chuck, I think you undervalue your service and provide a valuable product to the public Great Job!
- Jim| 1 replyWhat he does is locates Surplus Foreclosure Proceeds. I had a foreclosure and the proceeds from the sale were more than owed and the Surplus will go back to me the home owner. You can search all the unclaimed sites and nothing comes up. Go to the local county clerks office of the town the foreclosure was in. This probably applyies to delinquent tax deed sales also. Im glad I didnt give this guy 33% of whats mine and all I need to do is go to the county clerk and spend $50. Its ridiculus how he was telling me that it was a death inheritance from 1997. Dont sign it ! !

- PatrickI'm originally from NY, and about 7 years ago , I moved to Seattle to take a job as a systems analyst and at an up and coming company, that I thought I had long term career potential at. Last year, my company fell victim to our current recession and went out of business, and just like that I was out of a job. Since I'm single, and I had no family in the Seattle area, I decided to move back to NY to be closer to my parents, and my brother. I thought when I made the cross country move back to NY that I had been pretty thorough in wrapping up all my financial affairs, but it turns out I missed something. Charles Demes contacted me and said he thought there were some unclaimed funds due to me, and that he could recover them for me. Charles proposal was entirely contingent, so I signed the contract and mailed it back to Charles. It turns out that Charles found an account that I had over looked that was classified as dormant / unclaimed because of inactivity. It was an account that my financial advisor invested in for me when I first got to Seattle. It was only for a few thousand dollars, but every little bit helps in this tough economy. Thank you Charles !!!

- MikeChucky Baby, I never knew my Uncle Roy but my dad and his siblings always wondered about his whereabouts. It was bitter sweet for the family when you brought it to our attention of his passing. We do appreciate that when you settled his estate, you set aside some funds for a gravestone. On a good note, the whole family went out to our favorite restaurant in south Philly and toasted Uncle Roy. Thanks for your efforts
- D. Yaniz Mesa AzSatisfied customer! My only problem was that the agency that held the funds sold the stock soon after my Mom's passing and My mom passed away over twenty years ago. Therefore , they earned all the interest on that money and probably the countless other cases they're handling. So when Demes finally found us, we never got any accrued interest which is wrong. They should of left the stock alone (especially the GE stock) and sold it when the heirs are found. But that's spilt milk- Thanks Mr. Demes
- Rex Raleigh Sc| 1 replyI'm a former employee of Capital Recovery . From what I gathered it's basically a family run business and growing. They seem pretty diverse in their markets. I was a researcher and my concentration was defunct charitable foundations. It involved piercing a trust and locating potential beneficiaries. The company was square with me and their checks didn't bounce
- JessicaMy experience with Charles was mostly positive he did what he said he was going to do without charging me any money up front, and he did it in about the time frame that he told me it would take. The only thing I was a little upset about , but it really wasn't Charles fault, was that the funds recovered weren't as much as we all thought, because a judgment creditor of mine found out about the money also, and took a chunk of it. So, I ended up with less than I thought, but I still ended up with money in my pocket I didn't have before Charles contacted me. So, all in all, given my bad financial situation, I really can't complain. Overall, I would repeat, if Charles finds anything new for me, and I would recommend him to others

- Lucky We Hung Up on Charles DemesThis guy is a lying sleaze. He claimed to have inheritance that we already know all about, and he wants a third 33% of it just because he phoned us! He is a parasite.
The good news is that you can ask at the County Recorder in tge County offices of where your rdlative lived or where you lived and had a foreclosed home or your old bank accounts.
Do not use these blood sucking leeches! Get your own information from the Internet Google search snd a few phone calls. Do not sign anything with this predator!- Caller: Capital Recovery III

- MarkThe Better Business Bureau is NOT a federal agency. It is a "non-profit, charitable organization", as they file taxes under 501(c)(3). They are an organization that accepted annual donations, so that you can advertise as a BBB company and sound legit.
To hide behind the Better Business Bureau as your claim to legitimacy has me rolling on the floor laughing.

It's strange that your mother had an inheritance of $15,000 also. I too feel this is a SCAM......
