- Fred SimonI responded to his Craiglist ad about the condo on Staten Island. I was fortunate enough not to give any personal information except for my name. I attempted e-mail first. He responded with a phone number to call which is this 312-857-3571 number. I did call the number and lest a message. The call back came from a 708 area code. When I answered, a person in a thick accent says he was the owner of the apartment, and in the background there were other voices, similar to what you would hear if you called somewhere with a phone bank. I had already decided to not deal with this person, so the call was rather quick. I told him we had decided to go in another direction and ended the call before giving any information. He does still have my phone number and e-mail address.
