CALLED, NO ONE SAID A WORD, NEITHER DID I.  I WAS AFRAID IT WAS AN UNWANTED CALL FROM AN ANGRY PARENT!

This number called my husband's phone then mine right after. I didn't answer either phone since I didn't know the number. They didn't leave a messasge.

It seems to me that most of these "posters" don't understand that a collection agency has to follow the guidelines set forth by the FDCPA (Fair Debt Collections Practice Act) which is governed by the FTC (Federal Trade Commission). A collection agency can't legally disclose the reason for the call or give any information to indicate that it is a collection agency because of something called third party disclosure. I'm sure the majority of these "debtors" would not appreciate their co-workers and family knowing they are debtors who choose to leave their bills unpaid forcing hard working companies to hire professional debt collectors to contact them for resolution of the debt.  Remember without collection agencies we would all pay more for basic services, especially in the medical community -- it is because of debtors that we are forced to pay inflated prices on many goods and services.

I called them, they asked me for my info then hung up on me.  I think it was accidental but they'll have to contact me if they want to speak with me, again.

I dealt off and on with these people for several months. They refused to give me information about who they were, so I did the same. I finally got in contact with someone who was much more polite than the other folks I had been dealing with, and she explained the situation to me. I was in the hospital for over a month, dealing with a hospital acquired infection, fighting it, and cancer at the same time. Bills started showing up before I was even discharged from the hospital, so forgive me if I lost track of one. Anyway, we resolve the situation, and I payed what I owed. Just recently this number called one of my coworkers, so they called the number back from their desk phone at the office. This number is also attached to my file in their information. When they called, they asked who the company was, and what they were calling about and the person on the other end of the line asked my coworker if they were me. Gave my first and last name out. Not only is this unethical, and an invasion of privacy, I'm somewhat certain it's illegal to disclose that information to a random stranger. I will be calling and lodging a complaint about this with the company, and with the Missouri Attorney General's office. That is ridiculous. They have no right to disclose my name to someone who calls. I work in an office, and all of the outgoing lines will show up the same, but that is still no excuse for divulging the information to a complete stranger with no confirmation that they are the intended person. I am thoroughly pis$ed about this situation.

Yeah. . that's exactly the problem that I have. Their disclosure to a 3rd party, which as you seem to know violates the fair debt collection practices act. They don't even have dealings with me anymore, yet they still disclosed my information. This is why I am reporting the company to the attorney general as we speak.

For the record though, there's that whole. . law of supply and demand thing that causes inflated prices for goods and services. In addition to Americans being greedy ba$tards who can't seem to master the ideas of conservation, moderation, recycling, renewable resources. . any of the things that would easily lower costs.

Guess what, [***]? When you ARE the first party - those third party disclosure laws don't apply. When I am the person you are looking for, and you tell me you refuse to say what the acronym in your company name stands for - I have every right to tell you to [***] off.

Most medical bills are due to emergencies. I don't believe they should ever go to collection. Good Luck getting blood from the turnips.

There are many MANY people with Hispanic names. Whether you like it or NOT, Hispanics are the 2nd population and it will be or it may even already be the majority of the population, so you either employ Hispanic people who knows how to pronounce correctly the FIRST and Last name of the person that they are looking for OR they are just not going to find the correct people like in the case of  HERBIRTU instead of HUMBERTO and don't even try the last name.... RAMIREL instead of ROMEROL.... just TOTAL and ABSOLUTE IDIOTS.!!!! It is time to get UPDATED and HIRE SPANISH SPEAKING PEOPLE and PAY THEM what THEY DESERVE!

I'm guessing this is for the $200 termination fee I REFUSE to pay Sprint. I ended my service with them because they couldn't get my phone to work!!! They sent the account "balance" for the term. fee to a collection agency. FYI: there is currently a class-action lawsuit against Sprint for these termination fees for anyone else who is in the same boat. Google it!!! We shouldn't be paying these ridiculous fees!!! They call every morning...but I usually wake up at around 900am, so I don't pick up.  They never leave a message but I had a feeling it was for my medical bill.

as stated previously, debt collectors cannot leave any information regarding the debt or the name of the collection agency on any machine, voice mail or with any person because it would violate FDCPA third party disclosure.  If you're going to pay your bill with your tax return or when you refinance your house or whenever, you could give the agency the information so they can hold your account.

called back the number and the guy immediately knew who i was from caller id. i have a 300 unpaid medical bill from my 2 year old to Barnes Jewish St. Peters. This guy harassed me about when i was going to pay, my new address, and when i wanted to date my check for.  When I responded that id pay in January he questioned as to why i wouldnt pay it immediately, my response, not that it matters to you but i have more important bills to take care of that ARENT in collection and christmas is coming up so id like to buy my son presents.  He BLEW UP at me asking if christmas was really as important as this bill, HA! He then complained that he would have to tell his customer that i wouldnt pay until 2010, really dude, thats a month away!! When he asked for my checking account number i again laughed and asked if he thought i was stupid. and as to my address, obviously you have my phone number to call and harass me why would i want letters also? After this guy was rude to me for 5 minutes I asked his name and the company name again and he responded with "WELL MEGAN, IF YOU WOULD HAVE LISTENED IN THE FIRST PLACE YOU WOULDA HAVE HEARD ME SAY CONSUMER COLLECTION MANAGEMENT" I then asked him if it was his job to be an A$$hole and he said well its my job. and he repeated 3 times in a row, "YOU CALLED ME MEGAN. YOU CALLED ME MEGAN......"

Of course when my husband called back 10 minutes later to Adam, Collector #24, he would not speak to him and said that the line was busy. Funny how these jerks can act tough to women but when they talk to a man they get scared.

i rec'd a call from this # this am woke me up and asked for my mil name how rude when i asked what concerning she said i need to talk to her very rude and i explained this isn't her number i am her dil she said take down this number tell her to call miss wright at 314-513-0122 and hung up
how rude wouldn't tell me who she was with or anything just said this was a contact number given well duh she spends 1/2 her time here helping me to care for my dh with cancer and our 5 kids...so yeah my # is a contact number on ALL her stuff i'm her emergency contact as she is mine emergency doesn't mean call leave very weird message for me to tell her to call "miss wright" concerning an "issue".  how weird!

Called and asked for employee .  Said he was not here and they asked for my HR department. Told them bogus number to get them to go away.

These people are Zombie collectors - I've sent them copies of my receipts and they say I still owe, but won't produce proof.  I guess they think people just have money laying around to give to anyone who asks - or in their case - demands with lies, threats, and no proof!

They keep calling me for my brother who has bills due to having cancer and no job.. really what do they think I am going to do pay them for him hell no.. and I dont think he will either till he back on his feet he needs food and a roof right now
