    Do they every stop. I had a disputed amount (because the medical filers could not get the code right) go to CBE. It is less than $100 and was more than 4 years ago. I am NOT giving or verifying any personal info just because someone asks for it. I do not trust CBE or what they would do with my personal info in the future.

    WOW!  I just spoke with Billy from CBE and he had entirely too much personal information on me!  I then called direct tv to ask why they had so much personal information and they couldn't tell me!  Don't send CBE any money or such because it isn't worth ruining your credit over!!

    I just called the number and very directly told them to remove my number from their database, mentioned that it was a work cell phone as well.  They asked if I was a certain individual and I said no and I had no idea who the person was.  If they call again I'm going to report them to the FCC.

    Don't pick up the phone when they call....it's better if you call them when your ready to talk.. I believe there are two different departments that handle incoming and outgoing calls. Of course the people handling the outgoing attempts are going to be more aggressive since that is their specialty. When I called back, I spoke to a nice young lady who helped me with my transaction. It's better to follow-up on your terms, but I also advise, don't ignore them either. If you owe money to anyone, credit cards, mortgage, car note...never ignore the creditor, they'll be more than happy to try and arrange some type of deal so they can get paid. Communication is key. And also as a side note.....never get DirecTv, I've had such horrible experience with them and I absolutely hate the fact that you have to sign a yearly service contract. My thoughts and expectation are that DirecTv will have to loosen their terms and conditions or business will continue to plummet as competitors become offer more flexible services to meet our needs.

    These people call me 2 to 3 times a day.  I refuse to verify my address over the phone, then they ask me if my ss# would be better, duh,  if I won't verify my address, what makes them think I will verify my ss #.  If they would tell me what they want, I will talk to them, but I refuse to verify any information on me.  If they have it already, why ask me?

    I absolutely agree with everyone who has said NOT to get DirecTV service...EVER!  I don't answer any number I don't recognize, and I have never received a voice message from this phone number, so I guess they can just keep trying to call me as much as they want and I will continue to not answer!  DirecTV automatically withdrew nearly all the money that was in my checking account without ANY notice at all...leaving me nearly starving for two weeks before my next paycheck was deposited, and after this extremely horrible experience, I have vowed NEVER to deal with DirecTV again, and have warned them NEVER to contact me again.  And I have the bill that they sent me that states I don't owe them anything to prove that they shouldn't be contacting me!

    It only took me about two weeks after I signed up for DirecTV to realize that it was a huge mistake, and even though I'd only signed up two weeks earlier and was completely disatisfied with the DirecTV, I was already locked into a 2-yr. contract and would have had to pay $350 to cancel the service that I had only had for 2 weeks!  I understand the idea of a company asking for a contract, but when a customer is blind-sided by fees they were not notified of when signing up for the service, and receives absolutely ZERO service when they contact the company, this should be adequate grounds for terminating the contract without early cancellation fees.  If the customer's reasonable expectations of the service are not met, they should not be trapped into paying the company several thousands of dollars over the life of the contract for circumstances that would be impossible to foresee at the time they signed up for the contract!

    I don't owe DirecTV money...have never used them, because of bad reviews from a friend of mine (who is a DirecTV installer, if that says anything!).

    This number has called me 6 times today, and they never let it ring long enough for me to even get to the phone, much less answer it and see who it is and what they want. It stops ringing after 3 rings every time.

    guess there is 10 calls on I D but never a message and was thinking about getting direct tv  and no I've never had it never. They get these # from who knows where and if you have a common last name like brown or jones etc. it just goes on forever i guess

    wants to know all your info without telling you who they are. they never tell you who they are just keep saying its a bussiness mater. when you dont tell them anything and ask who they are they just say its a bussiness mater and then hangs up.

    I just received a call from this number as well. I called it back they were looking for a carla informed them no one here by that name. I just switched cell phone companies so maybe I have a recycled number. I work for Directv and my account is in good standing as it has to be so hopefully no more calls. She said she removed my number from there list didn't have to ask she volunteered to do so. We shall see. Just in case Im going to re-register my number on do not call list again

    This is a brand new number, only 5 days old, it is a business fax machine.
    I need this nonsense to stop as it is intferring with the business.
    I understand 319-274-1904 is a collection agency but they are working with old information.

    For those of you saying you never had Direct TV and don't owe a collection agency, it could be that one of your relatives is actually the one with the debt. That's what is happening to me. I have also never had Direct TV, but I'm sure my no-good brother has.

    Having no money never seems to stop him from thinking he should have what everyone else has. Obviously, he decided to stop paying his debts again, and now they're coming after me because the jerk keeps giving MY name and number as a reference, or even as his OWN info! I haven't seen him for almost 20 years!!! I really need to change my number and make it unlisted so he can't do this anymore.

    Anyway, the CBE Group is the caller, and in this particular case, the caller isn't the evil one. It could be one of your own flesh and blood who is up to no good.

    The service you receive in our area sinks and is always down but when you complain about your bill they say we can't adjust your bill, so then we as customers are paying for something that he or she can't for a week or longer. So why bug people with your with your calls for nonpayment? Give the money that your company has stolen for many years in the past or stop the foolish calls Mr. Scott West.

    They called so many times that I finally called the number back from work.  They made me give my cell number so they could look up the reason for the call because they have a few different companies that they call for. They assured me it wasn't a sales call.  She asked if I was married and it could have been a call for my husband or boyfriend and asked for some guy I have never heard of.

    You know, I have never had direct tv, ever, and yet this number calls me everyday, usually in the morning. I finally decided to pick up and I said "hello?" twice, no answer, and then some woman said "hello?" twice and hung up immediately. Weird! They still call to this day.
