i keep on getting phone calls from 33800.456.5105 0-492-2913 every night and no messages. Called 800-456-5105 and folks very polilte put my number of dnc list.  Advised after a few times and no respones to the number EBSCO is calling should just drop the number.

I think it is funny as hell!!!  After the answering machine does it's thing and the there is the beep, then we here "Hello, is John there" or "Hello, may I please speak to John"--as if a real person did answer not the answer machine.
However, they do call all of the time and no I don't want to renew the magazine.  If I did, I would not do it through them ever!!!

This number calls me at leasst 2 times a day and never leaves a message. I have tried to call back but no one answers. Can In get these people to stop calling me?  How do I get them to put me on the DNC list?

This number continuously calls and talks to the answering machine as if it were a real person.  They never leave a message and I have no clue what they want.  I will not answer their calls and wish they would simply STOP!  I am registered with the Do-Not-Call registries but that doesn't seem to help.

I just started getting these phone calls. Never answered the phone, but did call them back. Someone finally answered with just a hello and never said anything more so I hung up not knowing who they were.
Thanks all for the answers I was looking for. I will try the 800 # and get me off the list. I don't appreciate getting phone calls with no one leaving a message on my machine.

I just called the 800 456-5105 number and got Bill who transferred me to a csr, Charmaine, who took me off their list. Both were very professional and polite.

Josh, From his message, EBSCO EMPLOYEE was trying to be helpful.  I really hate having telemarketers calling, just got one from Ebsco today.  So you ask how much do I hate telmarketing calls, ALOT.  (Right, I 'm in.)
But that doesn't excuse YOU FROM BEING A TOTAL [***].  Calling "All the people that work at Ebsco... losers and stoners"!  What a cretin you seem to be.  Do you really KNOW "All the people" that work there to be able to make such a judgement call !?  
Perhaps it's the people who have nothing better to do than sit around waiting for some personal slight or global conspiracy so they can go off on a tangent like you did, who are the losers.

OK, Now leave the computer alone for a while and go upstairs from the basement.  You mother is calling you for supper.  and you need a bath.

Yes, I, too, have been called repeatedly for over a month now.  So I called the 800 number listed above and, yes, talked with 2 very nice people, and was assured the calls would stop, putting me on their DNC list.  Still having no idea why they would call here.

I have recieved too many calls from this company even after I listed my number on do not call list!

I have received 2 calls a day for 1 week from this number.   I'm sick of it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I receive a call from this number every evening, but have never answered it.  I would like for this to stop.

Just called 800 456-5105 to get taken off list- very polite - verified my number. Hope they are efficient-

Considering there are 20 pages of comments, this outfit obviously calls a lot of people.

I took some of the advice offered above and answered the next call received from them.  They asked for the wrong first name.  I told her there was no one here by that name, so she mentioned an address which was also wrong, and a magazine I'd never heard of.  She said she was very sorry for the mistake.  I asked to be removed from their list and she said it would happen.  To date, we have received no calls from EBSCO TELESERVICE.  This was after getting calls nearly every day for some time.  It has now been about a week since she called.

Like everyone else, we usually don't answer calls like that, and eventually use one of our blocking options to elminate the problem.  The above has seemed to work.  Good Luck!!
