Caller I.D. shows ebsco. They like all other debt collectors are looking for debra manning whos' old number the phone co. gave me. I finally got one collector to quit calling. And as soon as I get rid of one two more pop up. They are worse than a roach infestation. Ebsco can be found just google . They do everything from telemarketing to collections. I hope to god I don't have to file with the A.G. again to get them to leave me alone. I'm sick of it.

All they do is ask for magazine subscriptions all you yuppie candy assed people should answer your phone and stop living with your head up that same candy ass of yours. bottom line is, YOU HAVE A SUBSCRIPTION to a magazine that YOU CHOSE to get. Do you still want it? No? That's all you needed to say. What are you scared of? No one's doing anything wrong to you. Furthermore if the last thing you want to deal with is somebody in your home trying to sell you something turn off the damn TV.

This caller calls 5 times a day and into the evening........STOP!!!

I get calls everyday they even ask for me by my whole name!!! How do they get all this information & what do they want?

Stop calling me!  3-4 times a day is too much.

this number calls everyday at least 2 tims. . once as late as 9:00 pm. I want it to stop.

HOW can we stop such harassing phone calls? Police Dept does not want to know.  Seems like AT&T does not want to know either. A whistle does not appear to have any effect.

They're calling me too. If you are already registered - There is a capability to file a complaint on the  goverment 'Do Not Call' website.  

I have done this with other telemarketers - and they do stop calling after a complaint is filed.

They call everyday and I have told them our number is on the do not call list.

They will not say anything and then hang up

I have been receiving calls everyday at least once a day (two is now typical) for about 3 weeks.  As always, I never pick up, even when I'm home, and a message is never left, even though I request one on my voice mail.  There are magazine subscriptions to our household.  However, I do not do business with EBSCO.  Regardless, customers should not be fair game to companies with whom they have, indeed, done business -- Don't call me, I'll call you.

We used to have this problem at our previous residence.   There was a telemarketing company whose first 7 digits of their 10 digit phone number (including area code) was identical to our 7 digit local number (without area code).  So local people who got calls from this telemarketing company would try to call back the number left in their voicemail or on their caller ID list, but they would forget to dial a 1 first.  For example, our local number was 345-6789, but the telemarketing company's number was 345-678-9012.  Thus, if you called the telemarketer without dialing 1 first, the call would go through as local call, and begin ringing after registering the first 7 numbers of the telemarketer's 10 digit phone number (including area code) were dialed: 345-678-9.  So they would get us instead of the telemarketer and starting asking me questions and complaining.  I figured it out after a few calls and began "gently" reminding people of the basic rule of long distance phone calls: dial 1 first!

Not sure if this is the same issue, but based on Pat's post, it sure sounded like this is what Pat, and many others in NJ, did.  I sure do feel for those poor people!

I've been called by Ebsco too.  Wanted me to renew a magazine subscription.  I told them I don't give out my credit card number to unsolicited callers and send me something in the mail.  They did and are now spamming me through the mail.  My mistake.

I finally called them back and politely asked to be removed from their list.
I was politely told it would take 24-48 hours.
Easy!

This number calls everyday, sometimes after 9 p.m.  I'm very tired of it.  We are on the NO CALL list and want this to STOP!!!  How can we get our number removed from this caller???  We did answer, asked what they wanted and the caller hung up!  Enough!!!

This is a service to renew magazines such as Business Weekly.  YOu can call the number and reach a friendly person

They call several times a night and never leave a message.  BUZZ OFF!!
