Relentless caller

Different numbers were calling 3 or 4times a day sometimes back to back. I finally answered one, it was for Golds Gym debt. Since I did have a membership and stopped going, I assumed it was true.
Months passed and I finally answered again, first man I spoke to sounded Indian and was actually nice. I told him I only have $4 in my account at the moment and if he wanted it he could, but it was Christmas time and I was broke. We set up when I could pay something and he said it was a little amount he would switch me to his supervisor to see if it got ok'd. His supervisor got on and he was rude! He claimed I was refusing to pay, and I told him I clearly wasn't, you just don't like the amount I told you. He asked why didn't I have any money don't I work. I said yea he said where I laughed. He asked me what I just party all my money away. Then I started to get angry. And finally he told me don't pay my rent so I can pay him his money.
After reading all of this I'm happy I replied by hanging up on him.

I just received a call from them. Well, actually I have been receiving calls from them on a regular basis but this time I answered. Indian lady that acted really nervous. She claimed that I owe almost a grand to Gold's gym, whom they claim was bought out by Urban Active. I have not been with Gold's Gym in over 7 years! Also, I remember getting that taken care of because one of their personal trainers were unprofessional which made me stop going to the gym. They didn't want to give me any information about them so I asked to speak with a manager. the "manager" was even more rude than the person I spoked to originally and said I needed to pay the bill today and they would even give me a discount. I don't fall for that trick. In the end I told them to [***] off and have a nice day. Doing some research (which is how I came upon this) There is a law called "The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act" which is very strict about how debt collectors must act. They refused to give me their information which is required of them and violated some other things as well. You can legally get them to stop calling you about a debt, google that bill and you will find all the information you need. BTW, I do believe gold's gym either sold the information or a company hacked their system because I have been divorced, remarried, divorced again, and remarried again, yet they used my first married name. They also have my phone number from around the time I went to the gym.

They call me constantly, sometimes with 7771 in front. I ended up blocking the number but they still call all the time. I had a Golds Gym membership five years ago but canceled, as per contract allows, when I moved out of state. Never hard anything from them after until these  calls started a couple months ago. Not sure where to go  from here but they are definitely up to no good, do not give out any personal information to them.

Oh my God ! I have the same story ! They are asking me to pay some amount . And I have no idea what are they talking about!

Yeah, I cancelled my membership with Golds, but then they called saying I owed like $40 bucks for not cancelling. When I asked how they even came up with that figure (there is no real mathematical way I could justify it based on my membership fees or the long amount of time that had passed since I last was a member) and they said they don't have access to the actual bills, they just make the calls. The man on the phone got VERY aggressive and insulting. It was really shocking. He basically implied that I was a degenerate who doesn't pay my bills, despite the fact that I told him I had already cancelled my membership. I ultimately hung up on him.

Also, it is a NY number but you can very clearly hear that it is a call center in India. I'm actually really upset with Golds for misreporting this debt and hiring such a terrible company. I now tell everyone I know not to join Golds as a result.

I get this saying I also owe Golds Gym... have been getting it for about 2 years on and off. Just so happens that I have a golds membership. I don't owe them a penny.

They call me all day, i keep telling them to stop calling....please help me!~!!!!!

This number calls me repeatedly never leaves a message I called back from an unlisted phone #  they told me they were a collection agency but wouldn't tell me who they were collecting for so I hung up....they guy had an indian accent

They cannot legally collect from you if you are under 18.  We tried sending a letter requesting they stop calling under the Fair Credit Collections Act and they are still calling.  I'm also 17.

This number calls me about twice a week and do not say anything for a few seconds, just noise in the back ground. VERY FRUSTRATING> How do you block this number?

As soon as i pick up the phone, The indian man starts demanding money, i told him i have no debts, and he begins to get very insulting, and calls me a dead beat who doesn't pay my debts, it gets to the point where he starts slamming the table and shouts jargon down the phone and it starts to upset me, so i handed over my card details and told him to take what he needs

I got the same thing as CER below.....i never belonged to a gym either and they wanted money and my personal info.  when i would not give it to them they began threatening me.  I gave them a few choice words and told them NEVER call me again.  they still call all the time though.  i wish something could be done to stop these jerks (for lack of the use of a better word).

they have called me everyday, three times a day for some time now.  a week on and a week off.  i blocked the number in my phone but the calls still keep coming.
when i ask who they are they tell me "dion't worry about  who we are".   they are really rude and insulting.

They've been calling my number for weeks,2 to 3 times a day.I finally answered and some [***] who I could hardly understand said I own a gold gym membership from 2007.That membership was in Texas and was paid and I did not renew.Never received a bill from Golds all those years ago and everything was paid up and the membership card was turned in at the end of my membership.No problem! Now I have these idiots calling my phone number,which I am no longer in Texas,so how they got my number in beyond me since they keep calling my pre-paid cell phone,which is not in my name or linked to me in anyway! The idiot on the phone insisted he has my "Soc. security" number and "personal information" and if I did not give him 550 dollars on a credit/debit card,he would use my personal information..Oh yeah? I told him to go blow me and told him he is nothing but a scammer and to go to hell. He started threatning to report it to my credit report and will use my personal information.What is that extortion? I could hardly understand him ,he said his name was "Sam"....yeah right.Wouldn't give me a copy of the debt,any information and he said the first time the company name was 1st national credit and the second time he said his company name was collection fast inc...make up your mind before you try and scam someone !!

They also called me about a gym membership. First of all they answered the phone by saying, "hello?" When I said that I was returning a call she transfered me to another person. When I told that person that I was not verifing any info (and they had alot of my info already) until I knew what it was they were trying to collect, the second person transfered me to his "supervisor" I could still hear the guy #2 talking to guy #3 about me!

From what I could understand from guy #3 He just kept telling me that I owed money, that this has not been reported to collections yet but if I didnt pay him right now it would go straight to collections. When I told him that I was not paying him until I cleared this up with the gym, he got angry and told me if I called the gym they would just forward me back to him. I just hung up.

Called the gym and they have no record of ever sending anything to a collections agency. You would think AnyTime Fitness would go after these people to stop ruining their companies name!

Contacted me about a debt owed to golds gym from about 7 years ago they said it took a very long time to get ahold of me  rude Indian a holes i might have had a conversation with them if they werent d bags
