Just got a call from 347-474-7041.  "Alex" middle eastern accent left this number 347-960-0612.  I called it back and, sure enough it was the same scam I've been reading about.  He says I took out a payday loan in 2010 and didn't pay it back so he was calling my employer to report me as a fraud so I'd lose my job.  He really did call my office number but I answered the phone and I told him I was Lisa and he said that your employee is a fraud and not paying her bills.  I said, I don't think she'd do that.  He got so mad because he said I know you are a sweeper now let me talk to your boss.  I said a "sleeper?" just to mess with him and he got irate and said "sweeper".  The fact is, these people some how have my information from some credit application I've filled out in the past because he told me he was calling my 2 friends that I listed as references and knew their first names.  Be ware everyone!  Don't be fooled into sending them any money.  It's a SCAM!!

these guys have called several time and said that i owe all this money for several payday loans.big fricken joke  until they read me my last 4 digits and all that .they are indonisian speaking people and threatin you with sending money and all for payday laons from cash advantage usa.i dont have any worst part is they said it was deposited to  my bank march of 2011. i did not have a bank account at that time lol.

This Indian man threatened to throw me under the jail, and come to my house to arrest me.  And that he would take possession of my SSN until I clear up this issue.
When I asked what issue, he said he could not go into the details, but that I could pay him if I did not want thrown under the jail by him.
I said that the law states that all callers must identify themselves on Caller ID, and he said that he did not have to do so.
I hung up.  I highly doubt he was important anywhere but his own mind.

I got a call from this number five times in 10minutes. He said his name is Mark Cooper or Cougar. He has a very thick Indian or Middle East accent telling me I have a lawsuit pending. I told him to go ahead and file the f...ing thing! What I don't like is he said the last four digits of my social security number. I kept hanging up and he would repetitively would call. I told him it was harassment and he could not keep calling me. He informed me that he will be calling my work and tell them about my financial issues. I finally got very sick of dealing with him and called my local police department. He called the number and called me back and told me that not only did he talk to this dumb a.. but also called his local police informing them.

Like a few others I have an iPhone 4 and got a call from this number tonight.  Computer voice claimed I had a debt card from a credit union that was going to be locked. Total crap.  Interesting at the exact same moment my husband's iPhone got a call from 213-799-0709.  Not a known number to us and no message.  The timing made me think they are both scam numbers in the same ring.

I love this one. I have gotten about 5 calls over the last 5 months from random people and different numbers. Most of the messages are all the same, but they are from different "places". The first few I got were from the "Bureau of Federal Investigation". First of all, there is no such thing. They told me my last 4 of my SSN, which they easily could have gotten from somewhere. I was told that a lawsuit had been filed against me, and I need to call them back RIGHT away to avoid this. I called back with *67, which blocks ur call ID, and said my name was Jose in an accent. He goes, did I call you....I said, I need to talk to Paco....He kept asking dumb questions...I was trying to get some information about what he was doing. Then yesterday, I get one from this number saying that the sheriff will be knocking on my door tomorrow morning to take me to jail, and they filed papers with the sheriffs office in my town. What a joke. Some stupid indian woman. These people somehow cut into other peoples phone numbers and use that number to call you....When they decide to "cut out", u can call that number and someone from a family may answer. This is definitely nothing more than a scam, and an attempt to get some stupid people to actually pay them money. It is not just one person, there is an entire call center dedicated to harassing you and trying to get you to pay for no reason. And people do, when they hear their SSN on the phone, and think these people are legit. I have saved every voicemail, and I have decided to go to my police department to file a report. These people need to get THEIR [***] TO JAIL.

got a call early in the morning sounded more like a robo call saying some credit union card had been lost i don't belong to that CU

Called today threatening me.  Caller ID makes it look like it is coming from New York City, NY.  Wanted to speak to my son or give him the message.  Told me it was Social Security fraud.  I could barely understand the woman who was speaking in the message.  Gave me a number to call them back.  I won't do that because I don't owe anybody anything.

Called my place of employment saying I had 3 criminal allegations charges. I want to know who to call to Jane them stop calling my personal and work #

I got a call at my work from a person identifing her self as Vicki Garcia and same thing as everyone else has said they said I owe Cash Advance USA 500.00 and if I dont pay they will contact my realitives and file charges which she said were several charges.  So I called back when I got off work and Ms. Garcia wasnt there and I talked to her supervisor and he has a very heavy accent he was rude, laughed and was very threatening.  This is not something to joke bout and hope they get in serious trouble.

Just rec'd several calls from this number. Like everyone else, there was a guy with a heavy accent calling my POE (which is a law firm) stating that I have pending law suits filed against me. DUMMY, I have acess to a computer and Case.Net. Let me make this clear, whatever you're selling, I am not buying so you can disconnect not now BUT right NOW! Before he could get another word in I told him to have a good day and stay off my phone. This is funny due to the fact I owe no one NOTHING but I don't have time for people trying to scam on me for money. GET A REAL JOB!! smh...AND do you know this idiot called right back and asked for my manager? LoL...DISCONNECT!! Don't let these people steal your joy nor give them the satisfaction of argument just hang up. IT'S TOO EASY!!

You guys will love this story. So first time they call me was two years ago and it was some indian dudes stating they were from a collection agency. Now I'm 100% born and raced Indian in America, so my english is great and I sound like a true American on the phone and I also speak my native Indian language about 80% throughly. This Indian that called me was what we call fresh off the boat, meaning just got here or have the strong accent. Dude know I was Indian by my last name and says something smart and I asked him what he wanted, then he says something in Indian, swearing at me. I understood exactly what he said and went off on him for wasting my time and we just have a battle of words. They, meaning there is a little group of punks like them doing this crap for their own annoying pleasure, because they work at call centers and have access to all of our crazp info and probably calling on their free time. After a week later of talking smack back and forth and them really getting under my skin, because I'm Indian and getting harrassed by my own kind was truly a sad experience and not the first time. I stopped picking up unknown/not saved phone numbers, if it someone important, they will leave a message and these guys have only left a few messages. This past Friday, I pick up a number that has been calling me around 8 to 830 for past month and it's the same freaking FOB (fresh off boat) Indian mother ****** and tells me I have 3 criminal charges and I say to him I remember you and asked him why he couldn't just leave me alone and get a life or go get some [***] and he started swearing at me in Indian again. I lost my mind and said things I've never said to anyone ever for about 4 straight minutes and hung up on him and they called like 8 more times, just picked up and hung up quickly everytime time, not evening giving those little bitc*** to leave a voicemail. I'm hoping I do not get anymore calls and really want to do something about these guys harrassing people for all wrong reasons, childish, evil, etc. I'm not like that and they make others our kind look bad. Way to be smart and strong and hurt others by making it fun personally pleasure, I call that the devil.

automated robot like voice said that they were sorry to inform me that my credit card had been locked.....didn't ID me or the last four of the card so   obviously that plus everything I have read here means it is part of a scam.. I just hung up. Glad I did.

I have been receiving calls from this company for the past 2 weeks at my job and cell. They call up to 25 times a day and I am unaware of the debt that they are talking about. They are rude and can barely speak english. I am not sure what to do, do I pay them or just ignore it?

Calls from this number are trying to get your bank account number stating they are from Greylock bank. They target you based on your area code, Greylock Bank is for people in area code 413. I don't even have a  Greylock account but they called me. They tell you that your debit card is locked. Scam!

I have had this call many times from someone saying he is with "----- Law firm" and they have a law suit against me and my SS #. I can't understand him very well, he has a terrible accent. He says if I don't call him back that they will be serving papers to me the next day. I have spoken to an atty and he says "buy a whistle" he won't call back if he can't hear.

Received call from this number as well.  First they told me their company name BCS or PCS and after that recited my SS number and my address and my current employer.  I asked for the manager and he got on.  He continued with saying I owe $695 with Cashnet USA.  I inquired how they got my vital information....and the dam broke after that. The man started to call me a "B***h" in the conversations there after.  Not once, not twice but the remainder of the conversation.  Requested the owner to provide documentation they claim of me and said," We won't send you paperwork.  You need to agree to pay before we can send you documents."  I told him, unless the document is presented and is credible, I will not pay a cent.  Boy, another barrage of obscenities and the "B****" word again!  Since this call this morning, contacted Cashnet USA which is filing an incident report and all other info needed to monitor the situation.  It seems from my conversation with Cashnet USA,  that if one goes through a 3rd party that matches you for a payday loan or other things, they seem to be passing it on to others such as this company.  These two men from this New York number do have Indian or Pakistani infliction in their speech and the second man that comes on the phone tends to be very persistent and very vulgar.

I got a call from this number stating that I took a cash advance online (which i have NEVER done) from four years ago and the FBI was "going to arrest me the day after tomorrow" if I didn't pay it back or have a lawyer. I didn't know they arrested people on Sunday, but whatever you say.  These people are ridiculous!

Called the company I work for and asked for an employee.  Said he worked for the FBI and his name was Brian O'Connor and that our employee was a terrorist.  Called me several explicit names when I told him I couldn't get the employee on the phone and I didn't think the FBI would be calling, that they would just show up and I hung up on him.  When he called back, I let the call go to voice mail.  He left a message saying "B***h, I'll have your job, Thank you" and hung up.  These people are about as corrupt as you can get...
