Got a call from this number today, guy said he was conducting a survey, I cut him off and said we weren't interested and could he please remove us from their list.  He said "F&$k you a$$hole" and hung up.

Getting tired of calls like this--no one there and no massages left. I do not have a phone to be bothered like this. Plus am on the no call registry.

I told this person not to call again and she said " I will call you everyday!"  I'm taking further action.

This number called and caller id identified it as Vonage holdings. I heard what I could swear was my husband saying hello (he is overseasI) and then it hung up. Could it be line somehow routing international calls?

So this business has just recently opened up next door to my apartment building... they keep strange hours. People stroll in and set up for work at about 2-230pm and stay until about 9pm. Through the large plate glass windows you can see people sitting at little cubicles on the phone, while these guys in suits pace around. Kind of reminds me of the movie "Boiler Room"
Now you ask yourself what does this cute little story have to do with what your all discussing here... I live in RI and the strange new business is called VMS ALARMS.
The workers park in the lot meant for residents of the apartment, when confronted with this, one of these people replied "Well, where am I supposed to park then!"

Yea, got a call today. Caller id shows Vonage Holding. I suspect they are using Vonage internet dailing hardware service for their Slimy spoofing.  I am on The do not call list. I hope someone will invent a technology that would elimate any incoming calls that are not legit. Anyway I have stopped answering any calls that come in with any long distance area codes. I will always hang up on them as soon as my phone starts ringing.  They are slimeballs who don't give a damn about your privacy.

you are all foolish. i work for the company and whether you believe it or not, we are legit. we protect hundreds of new families every week and are continuing to expand. if you actually took the time to research us and look at our website, then you would feel otherwise. also if you saw the value and felt a dollar a day is a reasonable price to protect the home and family... you would feel otherwise

They called us today. A bunch of background noise, a "Hello?", a long pause, then hung up. It was on our answering machine.

Our number is on the Do Not Call list so an FCC complaint was filled out online.

It only takes a few minutes to file online and I would like to urge everyone to file their complaint.

Edie is not a Liar. I recently started working for this company. Granted, Yes we are telemarketers. Yes we call during dinner and when you get home from work or your watching the game. But no need to be horribly rude about it all. Your not interested or don't pick up that's fine. S.O.P. states we have to give 2 rebuttals before we leave you alone. Sorry. Honestly. If you just say your not interested and just hang up. If the caller does his/her job properly. Then you will not be called. Back. Some employee's are rude and unprofessional. The number is not spoofed. Like MR.k Said. We are in RI. Also in many other states. My understanding is all other offices have T1's connected to RI so all calls come from RI. Most business have dedicated lines "think VPN's" to have all offices connected to a central office as if they were one solid office. As far as respecting privacy. That's BS. We don't ask questions. We simply tell you that if you want to pay the "about 1 dollar a day and that's it" then you will get the system and instillation for free. We don't have details on the system. We are not supposed to. We just see if your interested and then have a "tech" call you back who can answer detailed questions on pricing and accessories and everything else. We also go by Monitronics. And as far as Mr.K's Comment. yea. we sit in cubicle's. Yes the manager runs around and hovers. Not slave driving or anything. He's actually motivating and coaching us. Listening in and giving tips. The managers are great. They constantly encourage us. Buying us lunch all the time. Giving away tickets and stuff for jobs well done. They are seriously the best and most fun people i have ever worked with. Granted this is my first telemarketing job. So try to save the bashing. just a tad
