We had the same type of call today from this number...they are phishing for information...be very careful.

why not just have everyone call bomb them and ask them the same darn questions.....over and over and over.....

Woman called and asked if this was the office of my employer, gave his name.  Confirmed this and then she said she wanted to verify his address and gave me a completely different local address, which has never been associated with us.  Told her that was incorrect (but did not give her any more info) and asked where she was calling from.  She said she was calling from "the American Chamber of Commerce," at which point I told her our info. was already on record (with any legitimate business!~) and hung up.  Obviously a spam call.

Got a call from this number claiming to be from "the chamber of commerce" and when I asked "for where" she said "of America".  She slurred her words a bit as if she'd been drinking.  Could hear other people in background like a call center.  She asked company name but nothing else. Didn't seem legitimate to me.

Same except my mail was stolen the day of the call or night before... Someone broke into my mailbox...  Then I get this call...  She asked to verify address, owner's name and number of employees.   Also stated she was from department of revenue.

Just got a phone call from  402-509-5055 asking who the business owner was and that she showed we had 1 employee (incorrect) and told me our address to verify.  When I asked who this was she said Chamber of Commerce and asked me how to spell the owners name (there are actually two) and unfortunately I told her how to spell the first one and then she quickly said thank you and hung up so she didn't get the second owners name.

Yep, that's my company, this sadly is no longer my number.  It was Skype number I stopped using.

Us too.  Got a call from a MAN.  Who verified the company name, address, and named a person that used to be here (but was never an owner) I said, yes, yes, no.  He wanted the name of the current owner.  I said, "for what purpose?"  He said this is the Chamber of Commerce.  My other line rang, I told him to hold on, I came back in 4 seconds, when I picked him back up, he was hanging up.  Obviously, not the Chamber.  Clearly falsifying who they are.

They are now trying to scam in Hawaii. "Chamber of Commerce" but they hung up. When I asked from where.

Picked up, I don't say a word, they eventually hang up.  After a while, they will stop calling.

shows on caller ID as unknown name. They called twice within five minutes. Since I don't answer calls that I don't know, the voice mail comes on, there's a few seconds of silence, no message and hang up.  

called and asked questions about the company and wanted to know is we where still at the same address and have the same name the how many employees we had.  I asked the who was asking and then the said the chamber of commerce then they hung up

Guy called asking questions about my tool interest... when I asked what company he was representing and if I could call he back because I had a friend on the line, he agreed but called me a name while hanging up.

This is what we get ,living in a fledgling banana republic.

Should be a hundred dollar bounty on telemarketers!
