I just received a phone call from this number.  When I answered there was a bunch of static and then a girl asked, "Is this***** an stated the business name of the company". I replied "Yes...." Shen then asked, "What is the physical location of the company?"  Something just felt odd, so I asked "Who wants to know?"  She replied " The Chamber of Commerce.". So. once again, it seemed odd, so I just hung up!  Does anyone know what there are doing with the information or why they are asking for this info?

I just received a call at a doctor's office where I work  and the person started asking if this was a doctor's office. What is the spelling of his name. Are you located at (address was correct that she stated). I stopped her and asked her who she was and why she was asking these questions. She replied, "It is a business survey". I asked her who she was doing the survey for. She replied with distain in her voice, "the Chamber of Commerce".  Since we have NO Chamber of Commerce in our town, I asked "what Chamber of Commerce?". . There was hesitation and she replied, "The America Chamber of Commerce". I hung up on her. The number is a NE area code. I googled American Chamber of Commerce.  She wasn't from there. If you try to call the number back, it states "IT IS NOT A WORKING NUMBER". Scammers!

For the past 3 days we keep getting calls from this number but no one speaks it just disconnects.

They are still calling...got it today again. First thing she said was NOT hello, but what is your address....really....???

The woman asked if this was my business. I said yes. Then she said she was calling to verify the address and asked if we are still at our address. I asked who was asking. She said: The Chamber of Commerce. I said: What Chamber of Commerce? She said: The American Chamber of Commerce.

I hung up.

Woman asked if our business address was __________, when I asked whose calling before giving any information, she said from the Chamber of Commerce. When I asked why she was calling she hung up. The number that showed on caller ID is an Oklahoma number.

Why oh why must we have so many interruptions from SPAM callers throughout the day, it reduces productivity?!?!

Received a call from a lady saying she was with the Chamber of Commerce. She talked really fast. She had an old name and address for our org. I did correct her and now wish I hadn't. The caller ID did say Omaha, NE, and when I went to ask her about that she hung up.

Got a call to verify owner & address, saying it's Chamber of Commerce. She didn't answer me when I asked who I was speaking to, no name just Chamber of Commerce. Then hung up. number 402-509-5055. Shady, I shouldn't have answered her & given a phony name/office. Next time I won't be so nice.

glad I looked this up.  Received a call yesterday and the Person asked for my husband and I said he was unavailable and the said No Fn bch.  Hung up on me.  Why doesnt someone take their fake number away

The Yates County District Attorney's Office, assisted by the Yates County Chamber of Commerce, issued a consumer alert today regarding recent telephone solicitations of County businesses.
Businesses are being asked to provide information to update their listing in the Chamber of Commerce directory. The call is coming from a call center with the telephone number 402-509-5055. The caller will identify himself as being with the Chamber of Commerce and when pressed, he will say that he is with the American Chamber of Commerce, which does not exist. It is unknown what the caller will use the collected information for.

She just call and asked about the address the the name of owner and when I asked her the back she just hang up.

Got a call from this number; when asked who they were the lady said chamber of commerce;  then she asked about address and company owner name; then started asking me about how many employees; I said what is your number and I will have some call you back and she hung up; I googled the phone number and got this: IHG reservations...

Do not trust these people. There is no American Chamber of Commerce operating in the US .  That is the US Chamber of Commerce that you are familiar with. These people are scammers. Give them no information about who you are, who your company is or, how many employees you have, or even who the owner is.
