Caller said they were from my bank wanting to review a transaction. Then they asked for my name. I said shouldn't you know my name if you are reviewing my transaction? And hung up. They are still calling me as of an hour ago.

To all those who say this is legit - YOU LIE!!  They called my house 3 times and left a message for my grandson who is away at college, and the only credit card he has, has my name on it also. And is not issued by the bank they were supposedly calling from. I ran a credit check on his SSN and he as NO other credit cards!  I also called our bank and they DO NOT use an outside company, and there are NO suspicious transactions.  THIS IS A SCAM - do not confirm any information with this company. Tell them you will call your bank directly to verify all activity!

This call was from Applied Banks fraud department and I had just recently gone through a fraud case when a card was stolen. It was completely legitimate. They left a VM with my exact fraud case person and her phone number.

I got a call from this number after trying to make a purchase online. She asked if I was trying to make a purchase at ___ website. I said I was, then she asked if I had made a purchase for $X at X store. I verified that I had. She said that she was with the transaction review department, and said I was good to try the transaction again. I called my bank afterwards, and they confirmed that the call was from the fraud department.

Got a call from this no in Omaha. Tried calling it back as I was curious. No one said anything. Looked at my CC charges, nothing unusual. This has to be a scam, blocked caller.

It’s legit, but do not provide any personal info & always verify with your bank.
With that said- Received a call this morning from a Fraud Detection/Prevention Dept for my bank from this number. The gentleman asked for none of my personal info. He proceeded to ask about several charges on my account- most were correct, but he also identified 3 fraudulent charges!  I authorized a temp hold on my debit card. Instead of calling the provided 800# back, I then called my bank directly who verified the legitimacy of the caller.

This is an actual real caller. It was for me at least. I went on vacation and my local bank thought I had fraudulent charges so they turned my card off because they could not get ahold of me. When I got home, this company and number had called me numerous times leaving voicemails trying to confirm my recent activity. I called my bank the next day and gave them the company name and number and they confirmed they outsourced that part of their fraud department to them. I didn’t want to answer them or call back either before I checked with my bank.

Received call/voicemail from "Josh" with an undetermined accent with the "Transaction Review Dept".  The call came up from Omaha, NE, Josh said they were calling on behalf of my credit union (the used the specific name) about recent transactions on my card.  Asked me to call 1-800-622-1361.  I called my credit union and they gave me an alternate 1-800 # to contact the company they use for this service.  I called - a woman with an Indian accent answered and said she was with the "Transaction Review Dept" and we reviewed several recent charges.  The call was legit.  But you should ALWAYS check with your financial institution before returning any call like this.  And it doesn't help that the "Transaction Review Dept" is apparently out of the country.

LEGIT. They are working with our bank to recover funds from a fraud dispute (invalid charges). They never asked us any personal information, but instead confirmed mailing address and was able to give the total in dispute. Also reviewed the process for the paperwork once it's received to complete the investigation.
