No you will not be charged for long distance. It rings back cause the are calling on an automated dialer. All they are doing is updating for Yahoo! Yellow Pages, Google, and etc. Its all free listings. I think On Star and Fed Ex uses there information too.

They do update for those web sites and they also do sell business lists as well. No scam....no cost to you...free listings on the web.....not breaking the law...seems ligit to me

Another call again now last week and now- i just don't pick up- never leave a message.  god it's bloody annoying!

Called me too, for the past weeks they called 2-3 times a day. never answer them.

I've gotten a couple calls the last two days.  I answered the first, said "Hello" several times but heard no response, just a phone ringing for a few seconds.  I ignored the second call since I recognized the number.  Thanks to all who contribute info to this site.

Call is from Info USA, trying to verify business information.
I verified address, but when they asked for my email I refused.  Told them to put it in writing and send it to me.

Rings no one there

Two calls in two days. First time it rings as if I've called someone, so I hung up. Second time I get a two second voice  mail with no message..

After receiving repeated calls from these [***], I added them to my "auto-reject" list.

I hadn't heard from these jerks for several months, but it has started up again.  Most of the time they just hang up when I answer, but the few times I was able to speak to someone I told them to put me on their do not call list.  Yeah, right!!!  I may just decide to retire and disconnect all my phones.

If you answered yes to any of their questions check your phone bill for any unrecognized charges (internet, seo, web services etc.) This company is in business to sell your "verified" information to other telemarketers, and to also CRAM your phone bill for services you did NOT authorize. They will say you did authorize and will play back a recorded statement of you saying yes. This of course happened when you verified the already public information. Call your phone company and dispute any charges, you may have to call INFO USA directly if your phone company will not take the cahrges off - or you may have to file a police report. This company is a BIG SCAMMING UNSCRUPULOUS BUSINESS  and should be forced out of business. Good Luck

I recieved a call from them wanting to update my stores information. They asked a bunch of questions and asked who was in charge. I told them I did not want my name on anything and that I had answered enough questions. They hung up.

called wanting private information on my company;  i told her that we are on the do not call list and hung up.  she actually started arguing with me!  the unbelievable nerve of these people!

you can go to fcc.gov/complaints and file a complaint about these people.  they are harassers of peoples time and energy and waste your money.  don't talk to them, go to fcc.gov/complaints and file a formal complaint;  the fcc will make them fill out tons of paperwork and fine them big!

She announced herself as "Express Update", stated my name and asked if I was still the business principal. I said I was. Then she asked if I would give her my email address. I said No. She then hung up without another word.

calls repeatedly asking for an "update" to their database, when I ask what this is for they say that it is for online search engines, I tell them we are on the DO NOT CALL list and to take us off their calling list, to which they reply that it is an outbound call center and they can not do that.

i have informed them numerous times that I am on the DO NOT CALL list and asked them to stop calling me to no avail.

I got a call from this number, when I picked up, the call got transferred and then silence.  So I hung up and called the number back.  It was for a company called Info Group.  I stayed on the line to speak to a representative.  When I got a live person, I asked them to put me on their do not call list.  I gave the guy my number, and then he wanted me to verify my name.  I said I didn't want to give him my name.  He said it was for verification purposes, in case I was a competitor calling.  Seriously???  I wish I had competitors like that!  That would take the time to call an annoying telemarketer and put us on their do not call list!
