- hotsJust received another call from this company 2 hours since the last one. The phone calls are just to update/validate their database. The information they are requesting is already public info, they just are looking for current info and to get details for cell and VOIP phones used by businesses. The recorded message stated to go to infousa.com and update all the questions on their web page. FAT CHANCE!!

- AnonymWhen I get calls like this--there are so many of them it seems. I simply pick up the phone, leave the line open and set it down in my home somewhere all day long. It prevents them from using the phone line and my loved ones have other ways of reaching me. I get to use their time amd money without it affecting my life or income. I stopped relying on the federal government to do their job many, many years ago. It became an exercise in futility. I am also on the DNC list. VA

- Katie| 2 repliesI just got a call right now in Montreal from this #, but I didn't pick up the phone. I searched # 4029303659 and came here.
Thank god, I didn't answer the phone. - YP Expert replies to Katie| 1 replyI hope you realize what this really is...InfoUSA aka InfoExpressUpdate is one of the 3 legacy providers of data to the major search engines and directories. There process is to verify the listings thus the reason they call. They also enhance the data with the owners name, email, website, etc..
This data ends up in Google, Yahoo, Bing and most of the directory websites. This is a very good thing for your business. Asking to be removed is simply foolish...only do so if you don't want your customers to actually find you in a search.
Find out more about infoexpressupdate by simply searching in google. There are not conspiracies here.. - TileMan replies to YP ExpertYP Expert, you are obviously an INfo(fill in the blank) employee, you prode no value, do you really think anyone here is stupid enough to beleive you. Search engines collect their own data. Legacy provider? Where did you come up with that one? Recent google changes have sites like yours dropping like, your BS is the only thing which will become a LEGACY!
- TracyJust got called today and they asked for the person in charge of the business. Identified themselves as InfoCanada. Caller ID said Nebraska and 402 number. I am that person but was skeptical. Asked if they had dealt with this company before and they said oh yes but took time to say the company name (like he was searching on a paper) and then said the name incorrectly. Told them that I was not authorized to give out that information. They said they would call back. Thanks for this message board, will get rid of them quickly if they do call back

- TanManI was receiving harassing calls from this number several times a day for a couple of weeks. I finally sent an email to contentfeedback@infousa.com. It said:
"Please remove [My Company] from your database. The phone number you appear to have found is [My Phone #]. I’ve been receiving nothing but harassing phone calls on that number since you found it. This number is on the U.S. Government’s Do Not Call list, yet they still call. So I repeat, TAKE ME OUT OF YOUR DATABASE."
A few days after I sent this email, the calls stopped. Then almost THREE WEEKS later, I received an email from IssueView@infousa.com (cc'ing barb.robinson@infousa.com and Billie.Burns@infoUSA.com) stating in part:
"We have removed the listing from our database & calling file. The phone calls from our verification department will cease with this e-mail and the record removal will be reflected after our next database update."- Caller: InfoUSA

- STOP 'EM for GOOD| 1 replyVERY IMPORTANT, read this.
When I receive a call that is an unfamiliar area code, I do not answer it. If they do not leave a message, I google the number when I can. IF the number is from one of these scummers, excuse me, scammers, then I block them from calling my number again with my Webroot App on my cell phone. I am trying to run a business and don't want any games on my cell. Webroot has been the #1 rated spyware, adware and virus protection for computers, and recently introduced an app (FREE) for smartphones. I have them on our computers and now my cell phone. The call block works wonderfully, even for anonymous calls, and has malware protection and a few other nice features for smartphones.
Verify Webroots Quality Here; http://anti-spyware-review.toptenreviews.com/
Then get the app in your App Market.

- Dawn KruchoskiThis was the first phone call I received from this number and it was just strange so I did a *69 and got the number and then I researched it on the internet like many others.
I am going to call them back and continue to call back all day long so they get sick of me. As soon as someone picks up - I'll ask for different people (names don't matter) and say they wanted me to call them asap. Get these people running around.
I'll tell you - they messed with the wrong person...I am not one to back down and I will call the appropriate government agency stating there are many, many people (especially ones with small businesses) getting bothered by these calls and they "appear" to not be abiding to the "no call list" rules.
I'll keep- Caller: 402-930-3659 (never got the companies name she talked so fast!)

- UncleRoy1A so-called InfoUSA contacted me today at by office and asked to verify information they have on my business. They asked for my current address, owner's name, etc. I refused to give this to them, and told that information provided by the state records should be sufficient for them. I suspect they might be phishing for information beyond what's publicly vailable.
