- ShananGot a call from InfoUSA at this number.
Caller indicated that she was verifying information collected from Google etc. I gave her limited information regarding the business she was calling about. Asked if this service was free. She indicated yes. I asked how they had information about the business and she said it was from google etc. And that google employs them to verify this information....
I hope this doesn't come back to haunt us.- Caller: InfoUSA, InfoGroup

- CindiYep, Info USA... they'll promise to remove your number, but you'll start getting calls again in a few months... You can add them to the list of companies that ignores Do Not Call. I found a call blocker a few months ago at http://www.BlockTelemarketers.net that works really well... with the push of a button it permanently blocks any more calls from an unwanted phone number. It's been a godsend, as I think I'm on every phone SPAM list in the world.

- sir magnetoThanks, I figured it was just the jerks calling so didn't answer. Looks like I was right. pretty safe bet in this age that if you dont recognize the number and they dont leave a message, it's just a bunch of jerks trying to sell you something or rip you off

- Kimba8687The name of the company is INFO USA. They are looking for information on your company, name, address, telephone numbers, employees, salary, and so forth. They call my business line daily but never leave a message. I called them back to tell them I am on the Do Not Call Registry. The girl who answered, Becky, said, The Do Not Call Registry does not apply to business lines". I told her, "Regardless, the information you are looking for is public knowledge and I refuse to give you any information". I further told her, "I do not want you calling my line again". She started to go into her sales pitch about finding my business quickly on a search engine. I abruptly stopped her and said, "I am not interested and don't call again". Just to be safe, I have blocked the number.

- Hard Working ManThey won't stop. This is the new reality folks. Get used to it. It's the same thing as mosquitos on a camping trip. You can swat at them all day long and they keep coming back. Kill one and there will be another. What bothers me the most is, it costs me one minute of air time each time I receive one of these unwanted calls. I used to get angry. There is no sense in that. It's not good for you. The only satisfaction I can get out of it, is to hang up on them. Nobody likes getting hung up on.
- DaveThey called. I didn't answer. No message left.

- Sophie BI answer, they hang up...a little revenge - go to their website www.infousa.com there is a live chat. I told them what I thought of them (you don't have to add your email where it says to). of course, they left the chat, but I got some satisfaction in telling them off. if more people did that, maybe it would help.

- Sophie B replies to STOP 'EM for GOODGreat info, thanks...unfortunately, they call my home phone, and Verizon wants more $ for me to block people on my-already-being-paid-for unlisted number.
- rosieThey called - when i answered I heard music playing, and then the line disconnected.

- Office StaffSame as above, however since as a business we answer with our biz name, there is no way to 'not' give them at least that. They've called and HU several times over the past several days.

- office staffCalled the company to have number removed from list, they refer me to 800-794-1404 expressupdateusa.com. Called the above number and got vmail, told them to remove my number. They ask for emails to contentfeedback@infogroup.com. They have a BBB certificate on their site and MANY complaints but still carry a good rating. Get going with those complaints.

- Hey Now replies to annoyedWhen they ask "Are you still located at..." Tell them, "actually its a good thing you called. Our address is the same but our new telephone number is XXXXXXX" - and give them the phone number of your congressman.
- SueDon't pick up. Waste of time on verifying business information.
- mark replies to robSo you sent them an email. Now they have your email address as well as your phone number to abuse. Way to go! DO NOT send them an email unless you want them to sell that also. Their scam is collecting and selling your contact info. The more you give than the more abuse you will get in return. Time to wise up, folks! Get yourself a call blocking system on your phone system. Free software exists such as PhoneTray -- Google it.
- John replies to Average Small Business PersonOne trick that I picked up from a Lingo rep was to forward the call from them back to them. It never rings on my end and I only see them in a call history if I am looking at it.
- KimberlyI don't know who they are but they are driving me crazy.
