- J.A. Isaacson| 1 replyThere is a bogus charge on my Visa card that was for merchandise signed for by "M.Allan" at this telephone number in LA. This number is the one listed by the merchant as the contact number of the purchaser. The merchant is Gooddeals18 in New York. They sell car stero equipment among other things
- Luc GarantI Also got the same problem as you did.
Paypal *MX SOFT , 40229357733 , amount of 463.00 $ , unotaurised .... i have no idea of what is this compagny. - Scammed againMy bogus charge was only 10 bucks and it read "Paypal *Clantongrap 4020357733 CA". Made the same calls as everyone above with no resolve. Just called my credit card company and cancelled. What a hassle.

THANK YOU!- Caller: EBAY AND PAYPAL
- LizThis is really PayPal. It is not a scam. They responded personally to a question that I asked them by email. They also sent me an email to back this up. They have done this a few times.
- Caller: PayPal
- AAIt does not matter if you have used your PayPal account in a long time or not. It all depends on what you are buying and what that vendor is using to receive your payment. If the use PayPal that is how it shows on your CC statement. While there is LOTS of fraud on PayPal, don't just assume that the charge is bad b/c you don't have or have not used a PayPal account recently.
- Caller: PayPal
- PhilThe telephone number IS Paypal. They are legit.
However, the charge on your credit card statement may or may not be ligit. If in question, logon to your paypal account and you will see the charge. If the charge is not legit, dispute it with PAYPAL immediately. - MaggieYep, it was Paypal. Called them back on the 866 number on the "Contact Us" page, and the CSR confirmed the number was Paypal, and they wanted to confirm my last transaction ($20 as a gift to a friend). There is a $1 charge on my bank account right now, but as I also had to update my CC info due to my card expiring since the last time I used it, I'm quite certain it's simply an authorization charge, and will never finish going through.
- Caller: Paypal
- edMy credit card was charge 20 dollars last month from Paypal even I haven't used it for half a year. The record from my bank statement has this number 4029357733 as reference. I reported to my credit company to dispute this charge. I wonder why after years these people are still able to steal people's money from their bank cards.
- Caller: Paypal
- ECThis number showed up on my credit card with 199.00 fee luckily my bank realized it was a fake and credited me back the money.
- JoeMy credit card statement reflected a PayPal purchase I made with the 402-935-7733 number. I also called the number when coming across it on whocallsme.com and verified that it is in fact the PayPal service number.
For security purposes (other than the standard PayPal security measures), I use the electronic pin number generator as well for doing PayPal transactions online.
Note also that PayPal debit cards have another number for their card services:
866-888-6080.
Email Phishing to acquire personal and financial information is common online. NEVER click on an email that you cannot verify comes from PayPal.
In such phishing emails, the entire HTML email page is one hyperlink. Beware.
Many people have fallen for these fake emails and they ended up submitting personal and financial info and have been robbed in such a fashion. - RinHas anyone reported PayPal to the Better Business Bureau before? What information did BBB need?
I had several charges via PayPal for purchases I did not make that had to be suspended/disputed and eventually had to get a new card number. PayPal's automated system does not allow non-PayPal account owners to report software errors or security breaches. - vinnyhad $99 taken out of my account with the same number as above and a comment PAYPAL *RIPPLESGRP if that any help to anyone. discusted!
- seanthey hit me on friday for a dollar just found out today. its a brand new card i really don't have time for this [***].
- edwardyeah i just had the same BS happen...it was a dollar as well, shoot i dont know whats goin on ,on my statement it just says EBAY SAN JOSE CAUS, but thats about it...i dont lk assuming but i just bought a charger from some ebay store and they dont have a location that number showed up when they charged...im changing my godamn card before they get anymore out of me
- BrianReceived a call from this number today. Was PayPal to verify who I was and if I had ordered a certain product from them. They did not want to process anything until they verified who I was. Makes sense to have the 402 area code since PayPal HQ is in Omaha, NE. Very nice building I might add with full basketball court in the back yard.

- Not BornYesterdayThe phone number is a scam, likely got you're name off some discarded company hard drive and are hoping to get the missing information from you to get into your account.
- GI got a charge for 257.28 it says from ticketkings who has a 1-888 number when you call, a recorded message will say that "if you're calling during normal business hours, our customer representatives are attending to ther callers..." would ask you to leave a message and will tell you to visit www.ticketkings.com, once you entered that into the browser, it will direct you to ticketnews.com... and the 402 number is below it and when you call it it's paypal, I verified that with paypal, and they said it was them. Unfortunately, a lot of bogus transactions are going on with paypal but they are not doing anything about. My CC is not even linked to a paypal account.
- Edgari received a charge on my credit card of $288 paypal ID ZELTZEPIZDA with the contact # 402-935-7733. There's no history shown on my paypal account of this amount. They stole my information and made a fraudulent charge!!!! im pissed. I hope they get caught and go to jail!
- Jessika T| 2 replies402-935-7733 there was a statement on my card from paypall from member watakim. or something close to that. well I did own that person 4.25. but my account had seemd to be charged twice to the same person. but with two different names. one was the watakim account name for paypal. and the other was kristen johnson. same amount. same person. im not sure if this is just a fluke or not. but it seems this number is a fake.
