I have a charge back in March for $50 from this number (paypal) and I have NO IDEA why, does anyone know who to call or how to even complain about a charge with no history of what it's for?  I think this is why they or this can happen with their service.  There is nothing linking the charge to who/where it's coming from on my credit card.  With all the complaints and issues this business has had over the years I'm shocked they haven't done anything to improve in order to protect sellers/buyers from mischarges like some of these we're all complaining of.

Today, both my husband and I received calls from (402) 935-7733 on our cell phones. We were outside and didn't hear either of the phones ringing and therefore didn't answer. No messages were left, just the record that the calls had been attempted. Curious, if this is truly a legitimate number for Pay Pal, why a message wasn't left on at least one of the two phones.

When you buy something from a website that uses paypal for credit card processing it shows up Paypal*COMPANY NAME 4029357733 the number is for paypal.  If you have a charge like that on your credit card it's because someone used your card illicitly.  You do NOT need a paypal account to incur a charge like that, just a credit card.

Received a charge on my bank statement from Paypal RAPIDSHARE *4029357733 for $11.11.  Not logged on my paypal account and didn't make the charge.  Will be contacting the bank to remove the charge.

IMAGINE 4029357733 NY 000000000078086 I just got a charge for 7.99 on my account with this reference number and paypal next to it. I didn't authorize this payment. when I did some looking it said it was some business card vendor. I contacted my bank and I am waiting to hear fro m them about it.

sclamb1 - I have a payment from the same freakin person for $88.61 on my card. If that clears my bank I am going to find out who they are and make sure they are fully prosecuted.

4029357733 is PayPal calling to validate recent account activity, such as withdrawals that coincide with deposits, etc,....

I usually get a call from them if I have multiple pending transfers, etc, or make more than two transfers within a week or so, and those withdrawals are within hours of the deposit being made to PayPal, etc....

Once again, scammed. My suggestion....is to close any accounts you have with Paypal. They stole $37.50 from me like the rest of you so....

Just received a credit and debit from 4029357733 stating PAYPAL next to it on my CC statement.  Called and cancelled my card.  Trying to get in touch with PAYPAL.  THing is I've changed my CC# about 4 times since I last used paypal which was almost 5 years ago.

I'm getting calls and emails saying to call the above number due to "suspicious activity" on an account that I do not have.

I received a call from this number but didn't answer it. I google the number and saw that people were associating it with paypal. I just made a paypal payment this morning and thought something might be wrong. I called paypal and the woman told me they aren't allowed to make outgoing calls. So, if someone calls you quickly hang up and don't give them any information.

This page on paypal's secure site has that number listed at the bottom under contact. This is the user agreement that all paypal users must agree to!

Ok. My Granmda does not even have internet access, nor a paypal account. Recieved charge on her credit card bill for $57.70 from Paypal Fisher AutoM 402-935-7733. Will contact the bank for more info. Has anyone recieved anymore info from their banks on where these ridiculous charges are coming from?

two charges for a total of 900+ were generated with paypal involvement. My guess it is someone working there.

I rec'd a call from Visa Fraud Protection today regarding a charge for Paypal*Rapidshare 402935 7733 for $11.25.  (I had also received a letter from my CU letting me know that my debit card number was found listed in a computer from some international theft ring, along with thousands of other numbers.)  Lucky for me, whoever tried this fraud didn't have the matching address info so it was bounced out to Visa Fraud before it hit my account.  I've closed my old debit card and will keep an eye on my account.

FYI: This is a legitimate paypal number. You can find it on the paypal.com website as being the customer service. They generally call when they observe a strange transaction or if you have just added a new bank account to your paypal account.

Super rude - wanted my social security number and bank account # ... AMAZING that they would think anyone would trust them given the plethora of PayPal complaints

I had a charge come up on my bank account and it was a charge from a company called *WOWSOGO for 139.99 that was never authorized. The charge never came up on Paypal, but it listed them next to this company's number.

Paypal said that someone successfully opened up a business account using my information (first, middle, last name and phone number/home address) within the last couple of days. I'm disputing the transaction as we speak. Thing is, is that I don't give out my home number OR my middle name often so I'm interested to know where these crooks got the information from.
