I've had two calls from this number.  On a call back the message says it is from PayPal about my account, but they do not recognize my phone number, would I please enter it.  They called me, so they have it.  I hung up.

Yes, I just saw the no on a transaction on my cc acc, $ 63. From Samsoft for computer software,  I'm not sure What to do with it but it seems that it's not isolated,  where to go from here??

This number started calling early this mornng and continued all day long.  Said they were from paypal and someone had tried to use my paypal account (which i do
not have nor have ever had).  I assumed it was just another low life scammer calling.

This is NOT the real PayPal.  Scammers are able to make ANY phone number show up on your phone that they want to!!  Just because some of you have PayPal and they charged you correctly or called you to verify, does NOT mean that the phone number the Scammers make to show up on your phone, which is the same as PayPals, means that they are really from PayPal.

Just look at all the hundreds of people on here stating that they have had FRAUDULENT charges all the way up to $1,000.00 charged to their Credit Cards and they don't even have or ever had a PayPal account!!!
We got calls from this number asking us to send a copy of our Bank Statement!!  Are you kidding me????
Someone else a while back here said they were asked to send a copy of their Social Security card!!   Come on guys, that's FRAUD all the way!

Do NOT trust this number. Again, nowadays Scammers can make Legitimate phone numbers show up on your Caller ID, no matter WHAT number they are Really calling from!

We recently got some other calls from numbers showing on Caller ID that just said 986  or just said 423.  Now we ALL know that can't possibly be true either!

Don't confuse Legitimate charges & Legitimate calls with these SCAM artists who are hacking into your Bank accounts!

This was a call from PayPal regarding a recent payment on my account.  It is not a scam call it is valid.

I haven't used paypal in years and they have never had my cell number.....so it can definitely not be paypal

Just got an automated PayPal call from this number.  Coincidently same time I happen tone watching online vid about Anonymous hacker documentaries.

Get calls from this number often. The call is by a machine with a fake female voice. I had read that this is an authentic PayPal number, which is true, but the robot asked me to confirm my phone number, then give the last four digits of my #SSN. I refused to do this and hung up.Been checking my PayPal regularly for fraudulent transactions and so far have discovered none. I am blocking this number.

Got a call from this number late last night (possibly because I'd just used PayPal) but just now saw it.  Never heard the phone ring and they didn't leave a message.  My transaction was only for $25 and I had to change my password.  What I didn't like Is that when I just now called back, they wanted me to say my PIN.  What PIN?  I left a message asking them not to call me agin without leaving a message.

Actually is a legitimate call from PayPal confirming a transaction. I received a call from the 402 number.  Didn't answer but googled the number. Went into PayPal and called them on their toll free number.  They were confirming

Ignored the first call but came to this site. Answered the second call. Spoke with a live person who was asking for someone, by name, who is not associated with my phone number. Conversation starter?? We didn't get any further.

UNAUTHORIZED PayPal charge of  $208.89 on my Visa card

Credit card was charged $59.75 for paypal that wasn't on my paypal account and also not authorized.

didnt get any calls at all. Just a couple of $300 pus charges on my credit card. Charges were to paypal # 402-935-7733. I made no purchases through paypal and in fact closed my paypal account months ago. These are fraudulent charges.
