Just received 2 $1749.60 charges on my MasterCard with the merchant name listed as PayPal "xcewe" and "andsss" and this phone number.  Someone somehow got my cc number and frauded it.

If you are here because you see this # on your Bank Statement...This phone number is for PayPal itself. ALL charges that go through PayPal will have this number attached so that, in and of itself, is not an indicator of fraud. Many times, the name of the person you are paying doesn't correspond 100% with the name of the person you did the transaction with. What I usually do is check back in my 'You have a receipt from PayPal' emails and then do a search for the SHOP/Ebay/Vendor  receipt email from the same day. Then I line up the transaction amounts to confirm all the charges are legit. It means a little bit of work, but beats stiffing some poor guy you forgot you bought off Ebay from - who then loses his paycheque when you protest the charge by mistake.

On 24 May 17 I had a payment from my credit card PAYPAL *OPTUS PREPA 4029357733.  that is not my mobile, Optus is not my carrier and I do not have a prepaid mobile.  The money did not come through my Paypal

This is a SCAM. Says it's Paypal, but it's not.  The number is close, but not a match. Don't call this number back.  Log onto Paypal's site and use the contact number provided there.  I spoke to a rep, and they never called me.

OOPS...!!  This is a LEGITIMATE PAYPAL number.  I found out last night, that someone in my home changed their password yesterday.  Paypal called my home phone to verify with them.  I don't know how to delete my post, so adding this to it.

I received a phone call at 6 17 A M from a lady speaking so fast I could not understand her so I ended the call only to receive another from her at 6 23 A M as shown on caller I D from PayPal. All I could get from the call she said " change your phone number " . I responded do not call me again. I am 88 years old and do not have a credit card with PayPal or would ever have one. Why would anyone call at this time of morning unless emergency.

I have a bundle with a cable company. The bundle includes unlimited long distance calls. Two separate calls on separate days we're made to (402)935-7733 Omaha, Nebr. Luckily I wasn't charged but the 2 calls totaled 73 minutes. I would have gotten clobbered. Time to close my PayPal account.

Not true. If someone makes a fraudulent attempt to get in your account and you make changes to unlimit your account, they will call you to confirm the changes. I just went through that five minutes ago.

This IS PayPal's number. If you make changes to your account, they will call you from this number to confirm it's you. I just went through this a few minutes ago. My account was limited because someone tried to steal my money. I changed the required information online. THEN I got a call from this number confirming I made the changes.

this number was on my credit card statement with a charge i didn't make from paypal. the card is not linked to paypal. checked paypal account anyway.  Nada. called credit card co. they canceled the  card and are sending a new one. big pain in the azz, but at least I caught it b4 the creeps got my money. when you call them, it's automated, they want your paypal acct number, smart...they are collecting account numbers so they can rip off more people. . my card charge read PAYPAL *SOBRIETY 402-935-7733 CA. Check your statements!! shut the buggas down.

I have 4 charges on my August Centuryline phone bill from 402 935-7733 Omaha NE.  I didn't recieve any calls from it nor did I call it, the phone company adjusted my bill. I did change my cell phone number to my landline.

A paypal scam, they sent me an email saying my account was being attacked and that my account was placed on limited.  I answered the email, I had to go to paypal and log in on the site provided by paypal and they sent me a code 4 digits and I received a phone call using this phone number, they got all my personal info then  click submit and  Opps we dont exist came up.  I was not able to talk to anyone but robots for the next 3 hours.  Then a robot said I was limited 5 hours later.  7 hours later I got a represenative (30 min wait) on a call back using the same number.   I was told that they had no problem with my account and that I needed to call the FBI ice3 to report this

No, this is definitely a valid Paypal number. It is automated, calling to verify a potentially fraudulent transaction.

I also have an item for $33.00 and one for 11.33. My phone numbe shows  NationalRIF 402-7733 VA. Funny the other ones I see on here are all in different states but the same phone number. I did not order anything from Pay Pal for this amount from VA. I has so far this month over $1,000. in purchases I didn't make. I am going to close my account and stop all this bull [***]. I'll be 81 in Nov. and I don't need this with all the other stuff I have to deal with. I always liked and trusted Pay Pal and use it a lot but not anymore and I'll be writing down what and who I ordered and from.

I received a phone call from this # 1-402-935-7733 asking me to verify a transaction is legitimate by pressing 1 or 2 for no.  I don't trust anyone, so I hung up and called paypal directly to find out if this call was from paypal.  It is paypal and they were trying to verify if a transaction as legitimate.  It's not a scam, if you don't trust it just call paypal directly.
