We are in the "Do Not Call List" and all those things. The only things that work for us, private opinions, we do not pay attention. The caller ID is great! If we do not know who is at the other side, forget it. If we know who is and we are also busy or etc., them is different.

Tuggy,  And that is why ( I believe ) the phone companies wont do anything about stopping the abuse of their customers phone lines.  They make more money by selling services like caller ID.

And that is another reason we need campaign reform.  All this money spent on advertizing for each candidate is ridiculous. Imagine how much better that money could be used elsewhere.  There should be caps on all political campaign spending.   That way everyone gets an equal voice with their self promotions.  As it stands now, it seems that the person with the most advertizing money gets elected.

You get what, 50 plus calls or texts every day from friends yet one one call from a candidate running for your president (much more imortant than any of your friends) is what, an inconvenience? All you who voted for Obama, hope you like what hes NOT DONE, and yes, we need CHANGE and we are sure to get it when Obama is long gone, I can't wait until he's out of office, wait, he's NEVER in his office, he's galavanting around the country when he should be porch-monkeying. The Republicans are wasting their time/money calling me, but maybe that isn't so bad! Sorry, Newt - not me!

The political phone calls are getting out of control.  Calling a cell phone at 445 in the morning is susposed to make me want to vote for somebody.  I don't think so

Message ID said "Newt 2012" so I didn't answer the phone.  Unfortunately, going to the FCC is of no value.  On the Do Not Call website, it says "The National Do Not Call Registry does not limit calls by political organizations, charities, or telephone surveyors." https://www.donotcall.gov/faq/faqbusiness.aspx

Political call - very frustrating as it came through to me at work and I don't have time for these sorts of calls - at work or at home.  My political choices are my own and I don't need to listen to this garbage - period!

Caller ID said 'NEWT 2012'; answering machine took the call and they hung up.  And so the political auto-bots begin!  I already know how I'm voting and don't need to be swayed either way.  At least my answering machine can take it and I don't have to.

Stop the call. Not only are you violating the Do Not Call registry, you don't even identify yourself. Just  silence.

I don't want calls from politicians either..seems they should be on our No Call List as they're worse than telemarketers..calling 3-4x's a day at all hours..if they want money so badly, hit the rich and millionaires and save their money on phone calls!!!

This call comes in every freaking SUNDAY (sometimes Saturday too) as "NEWT 404-220-7273".
Since they always call from the same number I saved it in my phonebook as:
"NEWT-THE-MORON".... so we get a laugh when we look at the caller ID.
There's a local town called newtown, so originally we assumed it was a friend from there, but 404 isn't a CT exchange.... it Atlanta GA (poor [***]).
