I signed up for a price quote on cars.com and got a call within minutes from 408-228-0163.  Has anyone found out anything about this number?

First call withheld no number and second call 408-228-0163 and was unable to call back, received unavailiable at this time.

Got a phone call restricted about 10 minutes after i tried to get a quote on a loan,did not answer. then about 2 minutes later got another call from 408-228-0163.i looked up the area code first it is out of california.
i dont know anyone from california,so i googled the phone number and found this forum.

CarsDirect.com calls your phone to make sure it works if you submit a quote request.  Why? I dont know.

Same experience as the rest...signed up for car quote on beathesticker or similar sounding name.  About 10 minutes later, call from Restricted (missed call), then from 408-228-0163 (phone signal died out).  Hope I don't get any more calls--especially at night.  I need my sleep!

Same thing happened to me. I submitted a request for a car price. Got a call from 408-228-0163 and immediately after a call from a restricted #. Both calls were ended before I could pick up the phone.

I am NOT looking for a car anywhere and I never give out my cell # over the internet....

I got two calles 4 in the morning.  First one was Private and the second one was this number. I didn't anwer eighter one. It was pretty disgusting.

I just got a call from this number. I first got a call from a private number, like many people have stated, then this number called about 30 seconds later. I did sign up the other day through caroffer.com
