Same as every one else, signed up for a quote and got a phone call from a private no. than the 408 area code!
I did not answer. I think our phones are bugged now!!!!

Called from a private number and left no voicemail.  Shortly after this 4082280163 called and still failed to leave a number.  I was looking at a car on autotrader.com and asked for a quote.

I also received an automated call from 408-228-0163 after submitting a request for a car online. Very often companies that accept online requests check if the submitted customer number is a valid one.

I didnt really sign up for anything, just filled out a form requesting a price quote. I got the call too, obviously. And I clearly stated in the comments area, DO NOT CALL, EMAIL ONLY. I dont think its the dealership that "auto called" me. I got the call literally about 30 seconds after I refreshed the internet page. Annoying...

Same thing as the rest of ya.  Requested a quote through UsedCars.com before I even submitted any info, got a call right away.  Got these calls at 3 AM.  What the hell is going on?

I had been looking at cars in internet.  Then I received 2 calls within 10 minutes of each other from 408.228.0163.  They hanged up the phone both times  I tried to call them back, but got nothing.

This # called at 10:45 P.M.    Sleep time!

I've signed for a quote for Honda Fit. So, 2-3 minutes later I've got a call from Unknown number and 5-6 minutes later form (408)228-0163. The caller just hung up on the very first second... It is a very unusual way to do a business

These calls are made by Dealix, a lead generating company. They apparently attempt to verify both your phone # and E mail address. They distribute these "hot" leads to car Dealers.

Strange.  I got two phone called, one from Private caller, then this 408 number at 1:30am last night.  I didn't answer, but the name "Dealix Corp." showed on the phone ID on the second call. FYI: I never asked for any car info.  I don't even own a car. I tried to call back today but the number is always busy.

Got a phone call at 11:00pm (blocked), followed by a call from 408-228-0163. Nothing

I signed up at cardsbelowinvoice.com and within maybe ten minutes got the call from 408 228 0163. First call was ID's as restricted, the second ID'd the number. The caller didn't stayno voicemail was left.

I just submitted a car quote and got a restricted call followed by the california number 408-228-0163 and it wasn;t ten mintues after I submitted my info for a car quote!!! I hope I don't get bothered all night!

I submitted an online form for a new car quote & right after I hit send my phone rang. It said "no name" and when I said hello it hung up. Then as soon as I put the phone down it rang again & the number 408-228-0163 showed up. It did the same thing... I said hello & it hung up on me. I had originally tried to enter 000-0000 for my phone number b/c I don't want a million dealerships bugging me and it wouldn't send through the form. So I think it's probably an automatic call from the website to verify the number entered is a valid number.

yea the same thing happened to me. when the call happened i just thought it was my stupid friend. but then the other call followed it with the 408-228-0163 and then i was like.. wait a minute. and then i put the number into google and i found this wesite. and i was reading all the things about what they were saying about the car quotes and then i remebered that i did the same thing. weird huh?

i got a call from a private number after signing up for a quote at toyota.com....it rang for like 30seconds aand then hu ... i then got a call from 408 228 0163 and no one answered i tried to call it back and it was either busy or the operator sd all circuits are busy....

submitted a price quote request on a carsdirect.com website and got an anonymous call, followed by a call from 408-228-0163.

i got a blocked call as well after submitting for a car quote after checking my records online this is the number that showed up wth?
