- EdwardGot a call from this number, the guy left a message saying he was from the IRS.
He said that they need me or my attorney of record to contact David Jackson of the IRS in Portland and "don't try to disregard this message I called back and a women answered "Hello". Really the IRS doesn't answer "Hello". I told her I was returning a call and needed to get information regarding the message left on my voice mail. She then hung up the phone.
I called back and someone answered she said she was Senior Investigator for the IRS, Michelle Brown. I told her I got a call from this number. She asked what my phone number was and I gave it to her. She then proceeded to say the call was regarding the IRS Debt I had. I told her I didn't know what she was talking about, her response was "So you're not aware that you owe the IRS for back taxes? I said I don't know what you're talking about. She said, "OK, I'll make a note of that, Thank you"
By this time I got very suspicious and called back. There was No answer. I called again and now James Anderson answered I told him I had just called and gave him the phone number they had in file. He told me his notes said I had just resolved the issue with Michelle Brown. I told him I didn't know what this is about. He said it was about the bad taxes I owed and that a warrant for my arrest was issued for the next 2-3 hours. I told him that was impossible because I didn't owe any taxes and the I felt this was a scam. I also asked what he wanted from me and his response was that he just wanted to be my friend. Really! This people sound from India or another third world country trying to intimidate and take peoples money. I hung up and looked up the number they called from to find a lot of scam reports mostly from today. Please don't call them back, I'm pretty sure they just want money.- Caller: IRS
- LanettaThey called me at home and told me I had back taxes due and that in 3 hours my passport, driver licences and bank acconts would be frozen.
- Caller: Claimed to be IRS
- GeorgeThese people have been calling me repeatedly and leaving a message they are from the IRS and that I or my attorney needs to call them. They have strong Indian accents and you can hear the sounds of others calling from the boiler room operation in the background. They are calling repeatedly during the day. It's very annoying.
- GigiGot a call from this number today. HEAVY Indian accent. He asked for me (I think) and I figured it was some recruiter so I faked being the dog walker and asked for a message. I asked him to repeat himself FIVE times since I had no idea what was coming out of his mouth. After repeating the same, unintelligible gibberish five times, he finally asked me - barely - if I could understand English, the very language that I was speaking clearly (and naturally) in. Told him I understood English just fine, just not his version of it. It ended with me telling him that I wrote down his message and hung up. No idea what the message was or who he was until I looked here. F***ers!
- C NReceived call from a guy with Indian accent (John Chare) claiming to be with IRS. Called my accountant and was told IRS never does business over phone or email....always through regular mailing. This is a SCAM!!!
- Caller: John Chare, IRS
- Tammie M. JonesOn April 24, 2014, I received a voicemail on my home phone. This message was from a man with a thick Indian accent and broken English, to the point that I had to replay the message several times to try and understand most of what he was saying. This man claimed he was an agent from the IRS. He was trying to contact my husband. (Which he got wrong. He said James instead of Jones) He said that this was a serious matter and that he( my husband) was not to ignore this message and to contact him (said agent) @ 415-251-4089
I took it upon myself to contact this so called agent. I told him that he was mistaken that no Jerold James has ever lived at this residence and to please do not call again.
Today, April 25, 2014, he called again. This idiot left a message on my machine again.
I just deleted it. These people must be total idiots. I have dealt with the IRS in the past. They were polite, helpful and always had an 800 number to use. Not some number out of San Francisco, California - benclbGot a call today from this #, heavy Indian accent, asking for my husband & he needs to return this call immediately. I asked "regarding what?", he said he was w/ IRS concerning taxes. Name he gave was Michael something (couldn't understand). Googled the #, b/c 1. IRS wouldn't use someone who can't speak proper & understandable English to call about taxes. 2. No letter in the mail 1st before a phone call & 3 & most impt. we pay our taxes!! Knew it was a scam but called back anyway & got "voice mail is full" Hate that ppl think others are dumb enough, in this day, to give out sensitive info. How about, whoever & wherever you are, get educated & get an honest job!.

- AndiThey have been calling daily -sometimes twice-- and left messages regarding overdue tax payments and to contact their lawyer, otherwise... Odd since I live on the east coast and they called from California.
Finally answered and gave him a piece of my mind. Heavy accent or physical problems. He hung up on me.
Called the number from my cell and got this message: " The person's mailbox is full. Try at a later date."
Just hope nobody takes these clowns seriously.- Caller: claim to be from the IRS
- RaquelI received 3 phone calls today from a gentleman stating that he was with the IRS. The first time, I sent it to my voicemail but I answered the other 2 times and told him each time that I knew he was a scammer because they never call anyone and to stop calling my phone.
- Caller: IRS
- Call type: Debt collector
- OZONKZI've got a call from the above number and they left a message with a male voice with a strange Indian/Bangladeshi accent and a very unprofessional English that would diffidently wouldn't be an official IRS officer and when I looked up the number i knew that it's a scam. BEWARE!!! Don't return any calls and disregard them.
- Call type: Debt collector
- TriciaI received a call today from Officer James stating that I had a legal affidavit against my name, 3 allegations and 1 violations. I called him back and he told me I was going to get arrested, my house was going to be taken from me and my children were going to live in a foster home. My husband has been calling him back now yelling at him. This is a scary phone call that has me extremely upset.

So I called back and pretended to be an attorney representing myself and they said they had the wrong "ME" LOL

- Mr X replies to Leave Me Alone!I thought it was a machine with a crazy accent. Hint to scammers: you should work on your English. I can't understand a word you said. you should try scamming someone in your own country where they understand you.
- Wei.I got same call today,from CA?
- FloridaClaims to be Mr. Raptor with IRS. Verifies name and address then asks for your lawyer info. Accent so bad I could barely understand him.
- Caller: IRS
- tomcomputer generated voice message. caller claim to be from IRS.
- mhill replies to SarahI received the same message. How do you recommend I go about reporting this?
- Just Post itI got the calls twice and he even gave the case # 65099. He said it is regarding my tax return and there is some problem and IRS has already sent the mail to me last Monday. And he said he is just doing his job to make sure I got this phone call and confirm I have received the letter. Of course, there is no letter from IRS, and I told him that I didn't receive anything, and I don't confirm any personal info on the phone, and so he just left me a call back number 4152514089 with that case number. First, I don't believe IRS will work on Saturday morning to call anyone, so I neither IRS should ask any personal info to be confirmed by phone.
- GuibaoI got a call today and left me same phone number and want me to call. it is a scam.
