    Read this --  extremely important.

I got many call from people offer free magazine subscription.  I think they are trying to get your ID to create new credit card for online purchase and stealing money from your bank account.  I believe this is what happening.

Do not ever tell them where you attend high school (school name, city, and state).

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We are calling you to get your personal information.  This is done through all the free magazines that we offer.

We want to upgrade our data base so we can steal your ID.

After you answer the questions, we need to one last confirmation so we can send you the free magazine.

Where do you attend high school?

Once we know where you attend high school (school name, city, and state), we will call the high school and pretend that we are your new employers trying to find out whether you are a good student (good grade) or not.

The thing is if a high schooler answer the phone, we can easily con this student and ask for the birthdate and social security number.

After that, we will use this to go after your bank account and create new credit card for online shopping.

    that is all.

Today, on this day, I received a threating phone call from them.  They would come steal all my doorknobs if I didn't accept their free subscription.  I thought twice, nay, three times, before saying a firm and resounding """"NO"""".    They never did purloin my knobs, but now I live in fear that they will call back.  I think they are from a Post-Apocalyptic Dystopia from the future, where there are mile long desks with legions of zombie robots making infinite magazine renewal calls while nuclear lightning bolts and omnious radioactive clouds surround them.  There is no hope for them, or their futures....unless little the unassuming worker bee starts the revolution that has been ruminating in his head for the past 3 years.  The story will continue after he finishes his rations of tomato soup with rice.

Twice a day get a call answered the first couple of time and sounded like I was in a foreign country and they were trying to say I was magazine subscriber. They didn't even have my name so I'm sure I didn't subscribe. I have not bought a magazine subscription since I was in Boy Scouts and only then to try and when a prize for selling the most. Does anyone know who we can report these people to so they won't interrupt me every day.

Just got a call at work asking for my manager. I asked what it was about and the woman rattles off a name and said they wanted to offer a free white paper about IT security. I said we are not interested and asked to be taken off their call list. I made of note of the telephone number. If they call again I will blast them.

Called my land line just now. Left no msg. Just add them to your blacked call list. Comcast provides up to 12  numbers.
After a few months, I delete the old list and add new numbers.
I believe this particular number is scamming.

Got a call this morning at our office from this #.  Caller could barely speak English.  Wanted my business information to update their subscription to my boss.  I told her I don't give out that info over the phone, said thank you and hung up.  What's the world coming to anymore when all you do at work each day is take these type of annoying calls???  Can't something be done.

Man called today from this number claiming he was calling to offer me a subscription to Security Magazine.  Told him "Not interested" and hung up.  After linking to this page I can see that this company whoever they are are know for offering subscriptions to whoever is dumb enough to give them their personal information.

PLEASE READ THIS - Do not give out any of your personal information to anyone over the phone (or internet) if you did not make the call.  There are so many Scams out there it's crazy.
