Got a call now and they offered one of 5 prizes. Said they got my number from places where we shop. Could barely understand what he said. He wants me to come to 6175 HIghway 7 Unit no.6, Woodbridge. Major intersection Highway 7 and 27.  Also he transferred me to his manager. About to give me a key code and got cut off. What do these people want ??

Received the exact same phone call above from 905-552-2505.  The funny part is they pass you along to a 'manager' that sounds exactly the same as the person whom you were just speaking to!  Told them to give my prize to somebody else.  I don't fill out ballots, so I knew something was up.  Thanks to everyone who posted on this site so that I know I made the right choice!

It sounds Like an old scam...... who will give you Free stuff and are totally out of the blue!!!
Don't be fooled by fast talkers.
if you are in doubt call the Ontario government or your local police department to do further research.

They're still at it ... Same as all of you ... posting so that in hopefully increases Google search ratings as it didn't come up when they had originally called me.... I had been stringing them along for about 2 weeks now.

I received a call from a guy with an asian accent at first from "Ontario Source International" who had quite a bit of my information, similar as if I had filled out a ballot.

Apparently I had won 1 of 5 very nice prizes, but couldn't tell me what it was until i go to their gifting center in northern Toronto. Same address as others, 6175 HWY 7.

Sounded too good to be true, but I was intrigued. He then forwarded me to his "Verification Manager" ... who happened to be a guy with an indian accent named Alex....

He was VERY insistent that I bring my significant other. They had a lot of info on me including my income range. Requested that I bring 2 pieces of ID and that I MUST be there at a specific time to talk to his secretary "Lynda" or the door will be locked. "The entire process will take no more then 60-90 Minutes". I asked how I was selected, he said that I had filled out a ballot in Sept 2009 (Almost a full year ago). I was very skeptical, but still played along. Sounded like a timeshare or buydirect.com thing, but he insisted it was nothing like that. Said it was a new company forming and they were giving out gifts so people would speak highly of them via word of mouth.

They setup an appointment but the timing didn't work out as I have been very busy lately. Alex called me from several different numbers over the following 2 weeks to try and get me there he had times available at all hours of the day and night. I kept telling him to pass my prize to the next person, but he kept insisting that I go because they had already made a small investment "Something like $100" to make me feel guilty. He quoted that several times, as well as "This is not a hanky panky sort of thing".

Eventually I got him to give up on me after telling him that I had asked him many times to pass it to someone else. Or so I thought ...

Just today I got a call from the Asian guy again asking "Why don't you want your prize?". I told him to quite calling me.

905-552-2504 was the number that the Asian used.

i also got a call from ontario source international.  im divorced so as a couple i have to bring a male
friend......she put me on hold because her manager was in a meeting......so glad i came to this website.......still waiting for call back......9:15 am   tues august 30 2010.......

total scam.......but you still listen hoping its not......FREE 42 " tv...... a cruise.....i cant remember what else...IF they phone back i will put my son on he will have a field day with them....to good to be true thank you for this website   went to it as they were talking to me.....it was a woman who called me and every few seconds there was a blank space when she was talking..ontario source international....6175 hwy 7 woodbridge  unit # 6..... im single but insist i bring a male friend with me......what is that about....i dont need help to carry a 42 " tv to my car...i will manage quite well on my own THANK YOU.TOTAL SCAM.....they also know how much money i make it starts at 50 k,s...with that much money i will buy my own tv.......TOTAL SCAM........

I just got a call from this number 30 minutes ago. The guy (sounded Indian, and had a very heavy accent) told me my ballot had been chosen, and I am one of 20 winners that will get to choose a prize. I asked them "what ballot?" and they responded "you don't remember? It's ok if you don't remember, because we know better than you!" ummm... what? I thought that was a bit rude and already started to get suspicious. They started listing information such as my address, my marital status, and so on. They gave me the following info, before transferring me to the "manager"...

I then got transferred to RONNIE (ext. 121), who explained that I wouldn't have to pay a cent, I can leave my money at home, just bring two forms of ID and my husband. No kids. No pets (really?). He also had a heavy Indian accent. I tried to google the company name quickly, but no direct sites. only this one, claiming it was a scam (which I believe).

He booked an appointment for me, assuring me it will only take 60-90 minutes and I will get refreshments. Hmmm, sounds like just enough time for a timeshare presentation. I asked him if it will be about timeshare, and he repeated "no, you do not have to bring any money. leave your wallet at home... blah blah blah... you are coming as a winner, not a customer". Any time I'd ask a question, it would get a scripted answer. When I asked similar questions, they would get the same scripted answer (after a pause, I'm guessing he was looking for what to say). I asked them what kind of company they are, and he said they sell Furniture, electronics, etc., then told me they're looking for someone to spread good words about them. He kept giving me the same scripted example: "if you win the TV, when you go home and put it up, people will ask you where you got the TV from. You will say it's from Ontario Source Inc Corporation, and put in a good word. Then they will come to us".

If it quacks like a scam, walks like a scam... it's probably a freaking scam!

I'm considering going (I live nearby) just to find out what is going on. I will re-post as soon as I can to let everyone know what goes on at these things.

I just got a call from ONTARIO SOURCE INTERATIONAL..same thing as all of you have said.  I was 1 of 60 people selected nationally to win 1 out of 5 prizes (same as you guys mentioned above).  They got my details from a ballot that I supposedly filled out at a Mall.  I asked for their website and the guy with the indian accent and english name said that his manager will have to give it to me.. Odd?  Then I got transferred to his manager, who was also reading from a script, who said that since the company is new, there is no website..it's under construction.  I asked if it was for time sharing - they said No..they're a furniture, electronics..blah blah blah...company... Odd??

Got the call last night at 9:15PM and yelled at the guy with the indian accent. Told him we were on the no call list and I was going to go after his company if he called again. Why can't this be stopped!!!!

I got the same call today. It seems they changed their number to 905 754-5163 same address though 6175 Hi 7 ,  unit 6 . Talked to a woman who can hardly speak English followed by her so  called manager  Shawn Ricardo. He told me that I will win one of five gifts guaranteed. same gifts mentioned here in one of the e-mails. This is obviously a scam trying to sell you something in their warehouse. Not worth the trip. By the way they asked me to bring my driver's license to prove my age to be between 37 & 64 and a credit card.  Also they want family income to be over 61k. Why the majic number of 61k?  Also they want the spouse to come and their presentation would last 90 minutes before we can pick up our prize.

After being awake all night with a sick child, I got the call at 8:30 this morning from 905-552-2512.  Very thick accent and I didn't catch his name but he told me he was the 'verification manager' from Ontario International.  I said, 'not interested' and he replied that 'this was not a sales call' and that he was calling about a prize ballot that I had filled out over Christmas.  I stopped him and said that I had never filled out any ballot and, he replied..."F___ off!  Son of a b___!" and then hung up on me!!!

I immediately contacted the police regarding the scam and the profanity that was used and I will continue to pursue this.  Seriously, would a legit company act in such an unprofessional manner?

just got the SAME call, same address etc. Said husband (no kids though) has to come down too. Company name they gave Ontario Source Inc. They are supposedly opening an Ontario business here, couldn't give me much info on products or anything.  6175 Hwy. 7 unit 6 Woodbridge.  Alex the Sr. Manager set up meeting - see "Linda" at reception. Not a timeshare, not a Shopping club. Really evasive as to what they sell and how.

I agree they just called me and harrassed me !
Thankfully none of you experienced that, to the severity I did!
Please Some One NEEDS to put a stop to this!

Bevare they will call you from a differnet number.
Same address, but the company name is Ontario Inc. and the phone number is 905 754 5163/122 or the manager's ("Paul Stevens's") number is 905 754 4163/112. I didn't get my gift claim number yet. They asked me to call them back with a perfect time for us when we can pick up our price. I don't have time for this and yet they already stole 1 hour from my life with the call and all the talkings, searching on the internet, etc.. I think with this kind of people you don't have to be nice just feel free to hang up on them. Don't feel bad about it at all. You will win if you just ignore their call.

I got the same call from Paul stevenson. Hard to understand him. He stated the CO. was a new furniture company "Grand Ontario Co-orporation".  Same story as everyone else. What a waste of time.

Just got back from our trip to Grand Ontario International. I got the same call everyone here got, spoke with Mr. Stevens and all. I sat through a short presentation about the company and the future plans they have for furniture sales. I picked my prize- a Toshiba 42 inch plasma screen. I am very happy and will only say good things about them.

Eveyone here asumes it is a scam, and didn't go. We did and it was ok! Let's just say, we are very pleased to have taken advantage of this promotion.
