Yes, this NCC Inc. is a Newspaper Marketing Company. There is no use getting nasty to the callers because the company is exempt from the National Don Not Call list. (Poeple's right to a free press) Also, the reason that there's often no one there when you answer is because the telemarketers call many people at once. Then they speak to who ever picks up first. Admitted ly its very annoing but these telemarketers are just trying to make a living at a very stressful job.

Personally, I call them back and have a polite conversation with them. They usually express how much they hate their job. Then I ask them to remove my number from their list. That usually stops the calls from coming for a couple of months. (Until they get your number again from another source)

Which brings me to my final point: Telemarketers get their contacts from other marketing companies. Anytime you sign up for a credit card, free coupon at the mall, a survey, a discount, or any time you give out your phone number, it is made available for sale to any telemarketing company that wants to buy it.

So stop giving out your number. Be nice. And if all else fails, petition the government to change the laws.

These guys called asked for the man/lady of the house I told them they were unavailable and then they said thanks bye bye

received 3 calls this week, being in our mid 80's are a bit slow  getting to the phone only to find no one there

We keep getting calls from 416 630 5150. They call, let the phone ring 2 or 3 times, then hang up. Who are they and why are they calling?

This company has been calling me on and off for a week. When answering machine takes the call, no message is left. When I answer nobody speaks. I had 4 calls today.

They are just doing their jobs, like you have to do your job to make a living. They have to sell the newspaper to make a living too.
Grow up people, let them do their jobs.

This is apparently a call centre for several newspapers as we have been called by someone representing the London Free Press in London, ON.  Why would a newspaper use an out-of-town centre to do their work rather than hiring locally, or, better yet, employing someone in their own office to do this job.  I  think the residents of London would like to know what is going on at this newspaper.

Have had two calls from this no. Wehave not answered it. Found out what last nighton my TV rogers screen. curious who it was so checked on the internet. We are on the DNCL, like why register if strange nos. call.

They call me several times to, most times there is no one there. Most be some kind of crappy automated dialler. However the few times there is someone on the other side, It has been calling on behalf of Toronto Star.

Receiving calls every day.  

Newspaper Call Centre.  Also Octel Voice Information Processing.  They called me and said they represented the Toronto Star.  Then they asked if I wanted a subscription with daily delivery.  I said no.  Then every other day.  I said no.  Then weekend delivery only.  I said no.  Then they asked if I wanted the Toronto Sun (??????????).  A real pain!  Reject these fools!!
