Ok, so this number has called my friends and I a number of times, and sometimes up to 5 times a day. He knows our names, he breaths heavy into the phone, and he doesnt answer when we ask questions. He says he's shy and doesnt tell us why hes calling. How does he know our numbers and names??? Is there no way we can report this and bust this loser? It's damn annoying and disgusting.

He is till at it.  He calls me around 10:30-11:30 every other night and the one time I answered, he said his name was Peter and knew my first name.  Just don't answer the phone.  I am going to change my number when I move.  He's a freak.

Called my ex boyfriend claiming he was my father. And new my dads name and my full one.
Said he would rip his guts out for supposedly doing all these sick things to me and so on.

Here's some info I found....This is one of some generic numbers (also +1 416 252 0153..etc) used by Skype's gateway for making pc to phone calls. Anyone using Skype service (usually in GTA)for such calling might display this on your caller ID.

Got call from  416-642-0882  . I was sleeping.
I called back. The phone is out of service.
I do not know why he called me.
I do get some collection agencies calls though which i do not reply.

Caller said he is from Royal Bank of Canada and one of their security advisors was in our area and would like to schedule to see me. I canceled the call saying I was not interested, but he called again. But the second time, the number didn't show up. But it was the same weirdo. It showed as Private Caller on the Caller ID. He had an Indian accent. Threatened me and told not to cut off the call. Sounded like a real sick [***]!!!! I canceled the call and he called again and I never picked.

I got a call from this number the other day. Didn't hear my phone, didn't pick it up. No message. But from what people have written here, I'm glad I didn't pick up.

Reverse phone lookup on white pages says the number belongs to Allstream, but doesn't give any other information (like most phone numbers these days).

I got a call from my friend that lives in another country and she called me using SKYPE however it showed this local 416 #.... Hope this helps you guys out.

this is crazy in the middle of the night your phone rings and when you answer the phone you dont hear anything from the other line and this number keeps on calling every minute

They called me, asked for me by name, then said is was my pharmacy. They said they had my refill of Cialis and I just had to confirm it. I laughed at her, seeing as I'm 25 and have no need of boner pills.
You just have to say "Take my number off your list" and they have to comply.

Got a call from this number tonight,
It was a guy with an indian accent claiming to be calling from CBS in Buffalo
he started by asking me to confirm my name and address (which he had ALL of the information correct)
I told him no- that wasn't correct and that i wasn't interested.
I am also on the DNC list, but apparently this list is being sold to telemarketers? I hope not!!
Anyway, clearly a call centre in India, using skype.

Hey i know what this number is, its a jump line for Skype users. If you want to make a call on Skype this is one of the thousands of number it will use. So it could be one of hundreds of people, chances are it was a wrong number anyways!!! hope this helpss\

Received a call from this number today on my cell phone. The mysterious man with the Indian accent told me he was calling from Telus and that my account had been selected to win a free phone. When I asked him for a return phone number so that I could verify he was calling from Telus, he repeated that I'd won a phone. I asked him if he understood what I said. And repeated that I needed some verification that he was from Telus and that this was not a fraudulent call. He hung up on me. The phone number is not capable of receiving incoming calls. There was a lot of chatter in the background, and it sounded like some kind of call center. Sounds like a huge plan to gain personal information to me...I've contacted Telus to follow up on it. Hopefully they catch this son of a *&()) before he milks some poor individual out of their own hard earned money.

Got a call from a man with an Indian accent, has my name and address says I won a flat screen TV, told him I did not fill in anything,, man said he's been trying to contact me since last year he's business is down town Toronto, tried to call bk # line busy,...

This # is used for by a service for long distance calls, you call a # and its free long distance, so it could be anyone calling

So this "thing" has called me for two weeks straight. It started on February 13th and carried through the entire weekend, day and night. By Monday morning, it stopped. The calls began again on Feb 20th, and haven't stopped since. They are primarily during the evening and night time hours. They were all "private" calls, until somehow they managed to forget to block the number. Has anyone figured how to put a stop to these calls?

What is unfortunate with Canada and their so called "Do Not Call List" Apparently it has done the opposite. Somebody or somehow got these registered numbers and after giving your number to the government for private agencies to stop calling you. You get your number sold to scam artists to call you whenever they want and both you as if you have nothing better to do then to talk to some indian guy trying to sell you something.

It is pathetic.

You should all be aware that the CRTC SOLD the national Do Not Call list to all sorts of low life. Pretty good price too I hear.

I got a call from this number last night around 8:47pm.  I missed the call.

It's a Skype call, could be anybody
