I get call from this number almost every day but i never picked up the phone and they never stop calling.

I got a call from this number today.it is perfectly fine with me. My suggestion to everybody who receive any unwanted call is not to answer the call...never answer any call, again never answer any suspicious call......you would kill them if you don't... believe me everybody, it worked for me for years, and this number calls maybe every 6 to 7 months which is OK but I never answered them. That's the best solution for any illegal call, everything else never works.

This number 416-642-0882 asked for me by first name.
The man said he calling regarding Education plans for kids.
He asked me personal questions, I refused to answer and asked him how he got my name and phone number, he was so rude, he replied "you don't need to know" .  After asking him several times how he got my name and number he told me to "GO TO BED" and hung the phone up.  This is very strange...I will report it to Bell in the morning.  Caller ID Unknown

this number called but when i tried to call back there was only a busy signal.  that may mean that they are a marketing company but maybe they were actually trying to progam my phone.  When this happened to my friend who had a business and he kept erasing the stupid numbers they came into his house and cut his phone line meaning they were progamming his phone.

he called telling me that i won a free phone from telus worth $400 and it would be delivered to my front door soon he asked when i was born, but he knew my address, home number

somebody jut called with that caller ID...he said we had just wopn a free package..I didn't let him go further than that..."Click"...goodbyeeeeeeeee...scam artist for sure...they would know addresses specially if you are listed on 411.com /411.ca/Canada 411....

Hi guys, this number isn't a phoney number, some companies use it to push numbers through other providors to lower costs. Our service - FreePhoneLine is a VoIP service that is, well, free. This number is a generic numbers most companies use to push the call through Bell, Rogers, Primus, Comcast etc... When they don't like the number, or don't like the fact that we want to run through their service without paying them they block the number or get a bit touchy on who they let through.

someone called me from this number asking about my credit cards information and hi said he is calling from visamastercard he said it the same that i wrote it and he said he want to confirm the information he have about me and when i start asking him questions and felt like he is crock he hung up and when i called back the number just busy all the time and it has been a month now.

I have been getting a call from this number for 8 months now...sometimes once a week, sometimes several times a day. They know my name and claim to be someone I went to school with, and then they pursue to ask me some really perverse questions. Its pretty disgusting and I want the calls to stop. Its really creepy. I phoned Bell to ask them if they would block the number, but they said they would'nt!

Didn't answer but when I try to call the number back its not in service. Really annoying.

They called me, and they knew my last name! They were like:

and im like..hello ?

AND THEN THE MAN STARTS YELLING AT ME SCREAMING

until i hung up.

i have recieved a call from this number twice now today. old woman saying "hello dear"  ...im assuming it is one of those voice boards u can get online with familiar sentences.

It's odd.  Got a call from this number claiming they were looking for "someone" who needs to call back....they quoted a case number.  I called the number and it is out of service. It could be a temporary number assigned to a trunk line and many business/people use it because it cannot be traced, and the price is cheaper if they use trunk lines ( yielding flat rate times ).  It is a hastle however, remember, they can only call twice a day, legally.

I just received a call on my office number...it was from Signature Training Canada...but the number they left to call back was an 866 number.

Got a call from this number too.. no answer.. :P

this number is for a free long distance service and instead of changing your name to private, it just uses a random no existant caller id which i reality is pretty much a private call with a custom caller id displayed.

so whoever is calling you knows you or got your name from the white pages.

weird, I have unlisted numbers both home and cell, and only my family knows my cell phone number yet I got a call from this number on my home phone and I didnt answer, then immediately afterwards they called my cell phone. The only thing I can think is that I wrote to a family member today on facebook and left both my phone numbers in their private mailbox. I cannot think of any other way for them to have known my number and apparantly this is a problem with fb hacking. I think it is possible that it is one of those free switching networks so that number comes up for others if being used (free long distance numbers usually). Just saying, since I used to work for Bell and we saw that alot.

just looked on some other sites and this seems to be an issue with alot of people, however the rcmp and the opp have apparantly set up a joint task force to deal with this after several complaints about the same thing, which they call phonebusters 1-888-495-8501

I just got the call and it was someone speaking a foreign language. Sounded like a Middle Eastern Asian language. I told him he got the wrong number and so he told me "Oh, sorry" in broken English. I got a call an hour ago from a number that displayed as "5" but read on my voicemail as "5666667" and it was someone who left me a voicemail in a foreign language too. Bizarre.
