This call was made to my house line and i called it back, it's from Optima Communications International. I am so sick and tired of having these calls all of a sudden to both my house line and cell phone. Rogers Communications for some reason is giving my private numbers out for distribution and i am going to make them pay for this inconvenience. [***]!!!!!!!!!

got a call from this number, when i answered they hung up on me. Didn't bother to call back

optima pretty much legitimately rips off their customers... you know...in the "nice" way

telecommunications. i wouldn't say anything to these people being as half say scotia and half say telecommunications

A man with a heavy accent called me from this number claiming to be "on behalf of Scotiabank". He asked me if my name was correct, I said yes, and then he hung up.

Hi, just rec'd a call at work from this number asking to speak to someone in human resources or payroll dept.

I got this call TWICE in the last week. First time they asked for my boyfriend who I live with, I said sorry wrong number, and didn't let on that I know him.  Second time same thing, they asked for him, I said THIS IS NOT HIS NUMBER.  They asked for a forwarding number and I said NO! We'll see if they call again...
P.S It very well might be something to do with Scotiabank, although I didn't give the guy enough time to talk, we have our mortgage with Scotiabank, so maybe they sold our info, even if they are getting it wrong. Those [***].

Caller never left a message. I called the number back and got a recording saying that I could leave a message but have no idea who they are in the first place.

If you get bothered by these phone calls and are registered with DNCL then simply file a complaint. Swearing and threatening at sites such as this one is not very productive.

Called the number back and the automated voicemail said, "We are Optima Communications Center and we tried to reach you.  We will call you back later."  Then, it hung up.

I recently went online and got a quote from E-surance.  They call me twice a day now, even though all I wanted was a free, no-obligation quote. (like the advertisement said).

I think this person was from a call center calling on behalf of one of E-surance's clients.  That would make sense given the history listed above.

ktosik.... if you have had an existing business relationship with someone in the past 18 months they ARE allowed to call

hung up on them. it was a computer caller I would think that it was probably scotiabank soliciting insurance

They never leave a message..so annoying. Call me everyday-morning or evening!! Who the hell are these people..I don't even have a Scotia Bank account..How can I reach them and tell them to stop annoying me.

Hi All, I received a call from them too, today on my IP phone. I juste discovered that with my software I can ban this number and never recieved call from them any more just by clicking the phone number.

received a call from this number.caller stated he was calling on behalf of Scotiabank for protection insurance plan; he needed to verify my location and date of birth in order to set it up. scam?

got a call at 6:45pm  March 10th 2009 and there was no one on the other end so I just hung up but they should be stopped I thought that god dam do not call list was supose to stop all this [***] but there you again it is our wondeful Federal governemnt screwing up again , yo know if you screwed up as many times at work as they do making laws and doing stupid things you would have to leave the country just to find a bad paying job I hope they read this and think hard if they want to get elected again.

This number has been calling me for about a year now.. anywhere from a couple times a day, to a couple times a week.  GO AWAY!! Why would I answer an Ontario number in Alberta?? They never leave msgs, so I never call back. I thought they'd get the point by now tho.
