I got this message midnight yesterday.  Seemed like a scam so I didn't call.

At the end of the day, if they have a parcel to deliver, then they should do the phoning!

text message says "!!URGENT!! Large Parcel awaiting delivery and to call an international number +43820899510. The company calls itself 'International Parcel Deliveries' It's a scam.

I Too got this text, and I was silly enough to have called it.  (Was a little drunk).  Not sure what the outcome will be as I have yet to get my bill.  I also think its a scam having read these comments. Same as all the other texts received. DONT CALL!

Got exactly the same text message 4th oct 19.45pm to ring this austrian number.  Tried ringing it and it takes you through an automated recording to giving you delivery numbers and taking your mobile number to arrange delivery in the next two days.  Asks for preferred delivery times.  The text was from a UK mobile number which surprise surprise goes to a vodafone answer phone message service.  All sounds like a bloody scam as usual.

forgot to say i didnt call it guessed it was a scam but hat are theses idiots trying to gain ???? !!! get a life !!!

Got the same message yesterday from mobile number +447909646045 quoting the message that I have a parcel awaiting delivery (I don't!) and asking me to call an Austrian number (I didn't).

There is no such company and the phone number mentioned appears to be foreign.. do not call back.

Yep I got the exact same one on the 4th of October at 23:16 to my UK mobile. The sender number was + 447776009708. It encouraged me to call +43820899510.
There should be a UK government "do not call list" like they have in the US for landlines. Anyone who spams a mobile phone number that has requested not to receive advertising or spam could then be prosecuted.

I also have received the same message on 5.10.2008 as the above people.I see that 2 people have received the message from the same number as myself +447810513884.Have tried to report it to my network as the number the text was sent from is from the same network as myself but there are no facilities to do this.

Hi got the same text last night at 20:25pm. I stupidly called the number and followed a series of voice prompts to arrange delivery. Cost me almost £15.00 on my mobile. I just pray nothing else happens to me or my family because of this. I am normally very aware re scams but my main focus has been on emails, didn't realise you could get scammed via text messages too. Should have known better cos wasn't really expecting any parcels, but as I have a lot of family all over the world thought maybe it was a surprise gift..talk about being had big time!!!

I have no intention of calling the number.  Major scam i think.

No company on google and i typed in the phone number and was kindly directed here.
