My thoughts is its a front, to verify your mob no. Then re-sell data, or use it somehow...just a conspiracy theory.

I got caught out and waited in all day because I am waiting for a parcel.

I got the text when I arrived back in the UK (literally just through customs at the airport).  I'm often receiving overseas parcels from different couriers. Looks like I got scammed as I called +43820899510 twice (got cut-off due to lost signal both times before I googled the number/company)

Did not call Austrian No as felt this was a scam - even though I am expecting a parcel (not from Austria)! called the UK mobile which rang for a while and then gave engaged tone.

So ur with ur fambly n ur making dinnar wen the phone rigns. U anser it n the vioce is "wut r u doing wit my chickins?" U tell ur hubby n he sez "dats turky". THEN WHO WAS PHONE?

Didn't think legitimate companies used !!!s, or mobiles instead of landlines, so ignored it.

I got the same !!URGENT!! massage from  International Parcel Deliveries saying I had a large parcel to be delivered. I thought it looked fishy but was waiting on a 1day delivery from Amazon so thought it must be them.

The voice recording set up a delivery date and everything. A--holes.

Well this is strange as this is a fixed rate number like our 0845 / 0870 so no real money to be made by scaming.

So unless you call from Austria they get nothing, as its just an International standard call to call from any other country.  So they must be doing something with the numbers, sellin them or something.

Ive had this message @ 3:30am on a Sunday so knew it was a scam, but called it from my home phone as i get free international calls to Europe so the call wont cost me a penny.  And it all seems legit at their end an automated system, that wants your details and aranges delivery, but was not giving my address as i guss they will sell your data on or use it for fraud.

Ok got some more information, this number is €0.20 per min, have managed to find a e-mail address for the austrian telephone regulators, send an e-mail to them and complain.  numbering@rtr.at

Same message. BUT what was most disturbing about this - and the reason I nearly fell for it - was that I had shortly before placed an order with an Ebay shop (paid for through Paypal). Coincidence? Or something more sinister going on...?

I was expecting two important deliverires from China, and therefore called the numbers. Answer machine on both. Probably will cost me money on my phone bills and now I think I have been scammed. Is this a coincedent that i was expecting deliveries?? I am going to talk to Fed ex & UPS because these are the two companies who may have my contact number for delivery etc.  Have they got an inside man who gives out numbers? hopefully not, but i will ley you all know

its definatly a scam call the number and if you are payasugo your credit will dissapear faster than a rat up a drainpipe, if you are on contract start saveing now to pay the bill. legitamate companies do not do this unless by prior arrangement.

Yep.  This is a scam alright.  They must charge the earth for you to call them and be put on hold forever.  Do not call this number.  Delete immediately.

I have had the same but as I was waiting for a delivery I stupidly phoned it, it asks you to put in your mobile number but keeps repeating it back wrongly.

i got the same message 3 times sent to my phone, my boyfriend rang the number who sent it back and no answer. they left a number +23222270682
who then the next day rang me.. i answered to a series of beeps.
